She slept very well after that night. Mitsuki woke up since a new day was about to start. She dressed up.

It was a dress with a grecian neckline and it is white on top and dark blue on the end. At the end of the dress there were also star designs so it looked like a night sky. She also wore long gloves which were black on the fingertips and slowly turns blue and it was white on the top of the gloves.

Her personal maid greeted Mitsuki with a "good morning" and as usual they headed down stairs to their huge great hall.

Mitsuki ate a bowl full of soup, loaves of garlic bread and a cup of herbal tea. After she got her permission to go, she went to the birdhouse.

The birdhouse was made out of glass and it was huge. In there, there were a lot trees and plants. There were also a lot of birds. Parrots, peacocks, owls, humming birds, wood peckers, eagles , swallows and even house sparrows. There also was a pond for water bird like ducks and swans.

Mitsuki's favorite birds are parrots and swifts. She liked the parrots because they copy her sometimes. For example the'll say hello how are you? Because this is what Mitsuki would ask them always when she is with them. They sit on her head they sit on her shoulder they sit on her arms and some even just hung on her dress. There were many species of parrots and she loved how colorful they look.

Mitsuki also likes the swifts. Swifts are birds which are medium sized and were black in color and had fish tail like tail. Swifts can fly really fast and beautifully as if they are dancing in mid-air. Mitsuki loves to watch the mid-air dance the swifts do around her. She loves the freedom they have , she loves how they have control of the air and their wings. And as a result she fell in love with the tender mid-air dance. "I wish I could fly and have the same freedom as you all" Mitsuki said with a sad voice—almost a whisper to the birds that were flying around her.

Mitsuki HAS wings and she could fly too when she wanted, but she was never really allowed to do that. She IS the black angel and the PRINCESS of this kingdom. Mitsuki knows how it feels like when flying, because she used to fly when she was just seven years old. It felt good and most of all she felt freedom. Mitsuki certainly sure that her wings are strong enough to take her high up in the sky with just one flap. She also knows her wings could fly her on a great speed. If she was allowed to fly maybe she could also do the mid-air dance with the swifts.

After spending some time in the birdhouse Mitsuki went to talk to her mother. They talked about the necklace that her mother gave her that night and Mitsuki talked about the birds she saw in the bird house. After that she went for a walk, like usually.

She went to the vegetable garden. It got a bit cloudy so the sunset wasn't really clear but the color blended through the clouds and made it look beautiful even though the sun was hidden behind the clouds. In the garden cabbages and radishes and many different vegetables was fully grown. She was looking at the vegetables today rather than musing around her fantasies. She looked at many vegetables like carrots, egg plants, beans, broccoli and many other ones. She also saw some fruits. The fruits looked tasty that it made her wonder when she will be able to eat a fruit salad again. She then put the fruit salad aside and kept on wondering through the vegetable garden.

"Why do these vegetables grow even though it's not their season?" she mused but still found it interesting to watch the plants grow. In the start of the year most of them were just flowers and roots but now they were delicious looking full grown vegetables.

As she kept on walking her eyes wondered around and while her eyes wondered around she spotted something black near the tomato plant.

"Tomatoes aren't black right?" She thought to herself and went to check what it was.

As she got nearer she stopped and leaned closer to it. It was a bat. It was a small bat that had black wings, black body, black ears and grey fluffy fur around its neck. Mitsuki wasn't sure whether it was dead or alive but she was sure it wasn't injured. She then slowly put her hand on it and picked it up gently and slowly. It was alive. She could feel the warmth and the light dup dup of its heartbeat. She stood there for a moment staring at the bat and then to the tomato plant and back to the bat.

Since it was alive Mitsuki didn't really want to just put it there and leave it. It was alive but it was unconscious, so she decided to take the little bat with her. But she had to think of a way to take it IN the castle. So she stood there for another moment. After several minutes she thought of using the secret passage way where only Mitsuki and her mother and sisters knew.

The secret passage way was a bit small but the guards never knew about this. This passage way was Mitsuki and her mother and sisters secret run away passage. They used to sneak out of the castle and out from here. So she decided to go there. She kept on checking where the guards were and went to the secret passage way entrance. When she arrived to her destination she stood in front of it checked around and tapped three wall bricks that only responded the four peoples touch who used to sneak out from this passage way. Then the three bricks vanished along with some other bricks so it can reveal the passage way. When a small hole formed and it was enough for Mitsuki to walk in she walked in it and the wall behind her automatically closed.

The passage way was dark but Mitsuki's eyes don't get blind in the darkness. She could see in the dark better that any other angel in the whole kingdom. It wasn't as clear as daytime but she could see enough. Other angels used to say it must have something to do with being a black angel. But Mitsuki always shook it off about she being a black angel and doing stuff others can't.

As she was half running through the pass way she slowly began to see the exit. When she got infront of the exit she slowed down, and just like in the beginning she tapped three wall bricks and waited for the wall to make a hole for her to get out. After it fully opened she got out of the passage way slowly and looked around. When she was sure no one was there she climbed up the stairs and jogged to her room.

After she closed the door behind her she sighed in relief and walked to her writing desk. She first took out a fluffy piece of cloth which she knitted and kept it on the desk and carefully she put the bat on it. She pulled out the chair and sat down then kept on watching the little living being. But it was so still so she checked again whether it was alive. It was still alive so she leaned back to her chair but, she was worried.

"Is it near to death?"Mitsuki asked herself wondering whether it was suffering from something.

She didn't really know what to do so she stood up from the chair and walked around the room nervously, thinking of a way to look after the bat and where to hide it.

Then she sat back sighing still not knowing what to do. She just kept on looking at the little bat which was breathing quietly. She opened her desk drawer and only found a bag full of black feathers which were hers. Her mother wanted Mitsuki to keep the small feathers which fell from her wings. The reason behind this is because her mother wanted to have something that belongs to Mitsuki even after she will never see her again. She took out the bag and kept it on the open space of the bookshelf and cleaned the drawer. After she was done she put the fluffy piece of cloth in the drawer and put the little bat in the drawer. It looked like a little bed in the drawer and she thought it looked really cute.

When she realized what time it was she slowly and carefully closed the drawer and went out her room and greeted her maid a good evening and they went to the great hall to eat dinner.

After dinner she went back and dressed her night cloth and opened the drawer hoping it was awake. It wasn't. It was still sleeping safe and sound. Mitsuki laid on her bed letting the drawer open and watched the bat sleeping.

Her eye lids started to get heavy so she closed the drawer and fell asleep hoping no one would find the bat tomorrow.
