Two days after Harry had danced with you, he and the class were surprised to see Esméralda enter their class, tapping on Bert's shoulder and nodding outside. "if you would excuse me, keep practicing the neck spin!" the class nodded, slightly confused on what was happening but continued to practice the routine.
A few minutes later, Bert and Esméralda returned and Bert walked over to Harry, grabbing his shoulder gently and nodding outside the room "come on son, we've got some news for ya, don' worry it's good" Harry, whose shoulders had tensed for a moment then relaxed at the last part of Bert's sentence. He nodded and followed his teacher out of the room, Esméralda stepping out with them.
"wha's up?" Harry asked, crossing his arms. Esméralda and Bert smiled at him.
"i'm sure you know of the performance in spring?" Esméralda prompted, tilting her head at Harry, her emerald green eyes staring into his ocean blue. Harry nodded, curious about where this was going "well, my class, the one with miss Charming" Harry felt his cheeks flush at the mention of you, and Esméralda smirked knowingly "and there is a duet, meant to include miss charming and another...and I've decided on her partner" Harry felt his chest constrict when he remembered what you had said about the dance; it was about two falling in love, and you would have to dance with someone that...wasn't him. "-and that's why I've decided on you, Mr. Hook" Harry shook his head slightly, he had been lost in his thoughts he hadn't continued listening to Esméralda and had failed to hear her explanation a moment before.
"wha-what?!" Harry yelled quietly, his jaw-dropping "me? But-but I don' dance ballet?!" Esméralda hummed with a smile.
"well, it's more contemporary, but with your flexibility and quick learning, you'll be up to shape in no-time. Follow me~!" Esméralda turned on her heel, already walking away. Harry looked to Bert who just smiled and pushed Harry towards Esméralda.
"we'll discuss what's exactly going to happen later, now go on." Harry stumbled for a moment then followed Esméralda across the hall into her classroom, biting the inside of his cheek as you and your classmates turned to look at him. You smiled at the sight of him and started to walk towards him but stopped as Esméralda clapped her hands to get everyone's attention.
