You did something that shocked both you and Tanjiro, you ran over to him and gave him a big hug. You were noticeably taller than him, so his face buried right into your chest area, making him blush a deep red.

He put his head up a bit so his head wouldn't be in your chest as much and hugged you back.

3RD POV:

You and Tanjiro were standing in front of your boulders, you still had a small smile on your face.

'The reason I won... was because I learned to detect the scent of the opening thread. When I'm battling someone and I pick up this scent, then I can see the thread. The thread is connected from my blade to my opponent's opening, growing taut the instant I see it. My blade is drawn toward it with great force, and then I slash the opening.' Tanjiro thinks.

You turn around, sensing Urokodaki's presence. 'She mastered TCBC huh' Urokodaki wore a proud smile behind his mask. Tanjiro turns around too, "Mr. Urokodaki..." He mutters.

"I wasn't planning on sending you two to final selection. I didn't want to see children die anymore. I was sure you wouldn't be able to slice this boulder, but" Urokodaki pats you and Tanjiro on the head affectionately, "Well done". "Tanjiro, Y/N.. you're remarkable kids..." Urokodaki says which makes you and Tanjiro tear up.

Urokodaki hugs you both, honestly he and Tanjiro were quite shocked to hear you cry.

'Finally.. some appreciation.. Otou-san never gave me this when I finished training..' You bury your head into Urokodaki's shoulder 'This is what a loving father feels like'.

FLASHBACK

A wide smile adorned your features, you were extremely proud of yourself. You had just done the exact move using your quirk you father taught you to do. "Otou-san! I did it!" You say happily, he scowls and whacks you with the back of his hand making you tear up. 

"Don't act so proud! That should be the bare minimum, yet you could just barely achieve it!" He yells at you making you lose your smile and the tears in your eyes come loose.

FLASHBACK OVER

That was the first time you ever had such a smile, and the last since now. 10 years without any hope for yourself, is what my father caused for me and my twin brother. 'I really miss Shoto and the others..'.

You've never really focused on yourself recently, knowing it's going to take a long time for you to see them again. And you are hoping that the same amount of time has passed since you have been gone...

You, Urokodaki and Tanjiro made your way down the mountain for what is possibly the last time.

You and Tanjiro sit next to Nezuko, while Urokodaki prepares dinner. "Please, wake up soon Nezuko.." Tanjiro murmurs and you place a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry Tanjiro, I'm sure she'll wake up soon" You say with a monotone voice, but a small smile gracing your features.

"Kids, dinner" Urokodaki calls, you wipe your red puffy eyes and you and Tanjiro walk out into the kitchen area.

"Wow... What's the occasion? There's so much." Tanjiro awes, while you just look around with your mouth watering slightly. "You've completed all your training, so we're celebrating. Don't be shy. Eat up." You both smile "Thank you very much!" You both say.
