"Let's call up Norah, shall we?" Kelsey said as she put away the nail polish that she just done Leila's toenails with. "Hey, how about we go out tonight? Leila's staying over at my place" she asked when Norah picked up.
"But we are underage" Leila argued as soon as Kelsey dropped the phone. Kelsey clicked her tongue and looked at Leila amused. "We never had a problem with that. Me and Norah goes out on the regular. You already have a fake ID, but you never wanted to go anywhere with us, but please just this once. It will take your mind off everything going on at home. I'll give you a makeover and maybe, just maybe Jake will see you as something other than a friend" Kelsey said. Leila sighed. It's been over a year that she had this ridiculous crush on the player of their high school, Jake. Kelsey and Norah have been teasing her about it since the first time he looked her way and smiled, and like an idiot she walked into someone's open locker door.
"Fine, I'll go, just this once since mom is still in hospital. Why did you get me a fake ID in the first place?" she asked as a look of confusion crossed her face. "Oh, I knew that you'd have to say yes sometime" Kelsey said with a huge grin. She started grabbing clothes from her closet. "You'll look like a million bucks when I'm done with you and Jake won't be able to keep his hands off you. He's a regular at the club where we are going to" she said happily. Leila's heart started skipping. "Maybe tonight will be the highlight of my life after all" she thought with her heads in the clouds.
