Night was slowly approaching, and clearly everyone -apart from Leonard and Issy- were getting tired. Samantha was snuggled up under Leah's arm and the wolf-girl was slowly scrolling through her phone, eyes drooping as she got more and more tired as the seconds passed by. Micara was cluelessly watching the Tv, no interest in her eyes. Leonard was writing something, Issy was drawing on her hand, fed up of checking her phone for the countless calls and texts from the Cullens and Samson was already asleep, leaning on Issy.

Micara's eyes wandered to her family and realized they were falling asleep.

"Sam, Leah? Are you alright with sleeping in the bedroom together?" Micara wondered, getting up from the sofa.

"Yeah, it'll be fine," Samantha nodded, getting up slowly and holding Leah's wrist, taking the wolf girl with her.

Samantha, having been in the flat before, led Leah to the room then instantly planted herself in the middle of the bed. Chuckling, Leah fell on top of her, making the girl below her groan.

"Oh sorry, I didn't see you there," A grin fell on the wolf's lips.

"Yeah? Well I didn't see you, there," Samantha pushed Leah off playfully.

Leah laughed, wrapping an arm around Sam's waist and pulling her around so her back was on the bed and her head was on the other's shoulder. A sigh left the half-half-breed's lips. Her world really was upside down. It seemed to get better for a little tiny second, then it was trash again. Was everything that was happening, to do with the fact that her father was a vampire and her mother was kind of one? What if they were all just human, a normal family, would everything be ok?

"Vampy, are you crying?" Leah asked, leaning on her arm and getting a closer looks at Sam.

Samantha sniffed and wiped her eyes, realizing she was. "No, I have bad hayfever,"

"It's winter," Leah reminded, putting a hand on the other's shoulder.

Samantha turned so the girls were head on. "I just want everything to be normal, and by that, I don't mean with Mom and Dad. I mean I wish we were normal, human. Everything would be so much easier, we'd be able to call the police on Maria, she'd go to jail. Boom, done, but no. We have to hide and deal with it. It's unfair,"

Leah thought over her words and nodded in understanding. "You know, I wish that too sometimes. Every time I shift, I can always hear Sam Uley's thoughts on Emily. All the rest of them either agree or make fun of me. Sometimes I wish I could either go rogue, or be human, then I wouldn't have to hear it,"

"You could always leave the pack and live with me. I already know they'd let you," Sam suggested, turning her head to the side.

"Yeah no thanks, I hate vampires," Leah smirked, chuckling slightly.

"Oh c'mon LeeLee, if it was a life or death situation, you'd pick vampires," The half-half breed challenged.

"Nah, hard pass. To the grave I go!" Leah laughed, as Sam playfully hit her arm.

"I wouldn't let you go, you mean too much to me," Samantha blushed slightly, but hoped Leah couldn't see it due to the dark room.

"You mean a lot to me too," The wolf girl admitted, looking down at the bedsheets, slightly embarrassed.

Samantha continued to look at the girl, a slight smile on her face. Though Leah pulled back and pretended like she was stretching, but it was obvious. The girls were leaning into each other, Sam began to panic, when did they even get that close? Did she make Leah uncomfortable? What happened to-

"I really wanna kiss you Samantha, but I don't know if you're into me that way," Leah blurted out, fisting her hands, ready for rejection.

Sam blinked intensely from shock, but continued to look at Leah.

"So I didn't scare you away?" Samantha gasped.

Leah scoffed, "No, I thought I did the minute I leaned in,"

"I'm like the gayest one here, I doubt it," Sam smiled slyly, never telling anyone like that before.

"You're gay?" Leah clarified.

"Don't act like you didn't know," Samantha shoved her, making the other laugh.

"Sorry, but you give mixed signals sometimes," Leah giggled, taking Sam's hand and holding it.

The two smiled at each other but Sam's heart began hammering the fastest it's ever gone before when Leah began to look at her lips. Going for it, Samantha leaned in, having being her first kissing experience ever, she didn't really know if she was doing it right. But she'd seen her parents kiss multiple times so she figured it was something like this. Leah handled it well too, holding Sam by her waist and putting a hand through her hair. Leah was very close from getting carried away because she was kissing her imprint for the first time, but Sam wasn't too drunk on love to go that far, so she pulled away, smiling.

The two girls caught their breath trying to hide the utter happiness they felt.

"Thanks for being here when I need you Lee," Samantha hid her face in Leah's shoulder, making the other girl lower herself down properly on the bed.

"Thanks for giving me a reason to live again Samantha," Leah closed her eyes, happy with the outcome.

If only the happiness could've stayed though.
