Chapter Two

     I woke up the next morning when I heard a loud cry coming near to me. I scrambled up a grabbed my blanket and ran into a desert type place. It had orange cacti and blue sand. There was a brown wooden box half  buried in the navy blue sand. I pulled the box out from the warm sand, lifted the silver latch and to my surprise I found an old brown leather journal. It had one entry that said:

    This is my third day in this mysterious place, I found only one source of food, the fruit is on this plant. It is the best thing I have ever tasted.

     There was a green pokey leaf taped into the journal, I kept reading:

     This will be my last day here, if any on find my journal please find a way to survive, help the others. ~William Fritz

    I way terrified,  I had to find a large tree to build a house, and survive for that man.
     I wandered back into the dense forest, I looked for just the right tree for my new home for who knows how long. I walked for what seemed like an eternity, when I heard a shuffle coming from my left. I squatted down and slowly walked towards it. I pushed aside a yellow bush and saw a tiny pink creature with bright green fuzz on it. I called it a 'Squelp.' It looked frightened, I carefully scooped it up in my fragile hands, it looked at me with love in its eyes. I set my bag down and pulled out a tiny pouch I had and gently set the Squelp inside of it. I then continued my long journey...
