What Are The Odds? (Kellin Quinn Fanfic)

Chapter Four

Kellin laughs "Is she going to be ok?"
Leo sighs "I have no idea, she's only acted similarly to this on the Madness release date." Everybody murmurs as they remember how excited I was that day.
"Whats her name?" Kellin asks.
"Heather." Everyone says in unison, the ones that dont like me spit my name.
Kellin walks over to where I sit and kneels infront of me "Hi Heather, are you ok?"
I manage to regain control of my breathing and sit normally, I stop myself shaking. "Yeah, I guess. But you-you're-"
Kellin laughs "Yeah, the one and only!" He winks at me before walking up to the front of the classroom. "So, is Heather the only fan?"
Ellie raises her hand "Im a fan too!"
But other than that, nobody raises their hands, Kellin laughs "How did you all know who I was then?"
A girl sighs "Heather went around and showed us all a picture of you once and she's constantly talking about you and-"
Leo cuts her off "And you guys are always making fun of her for liking him!"
I blush and stare down at my hands, twiddling my fingers. Kellin frowns "Have any of you actually listened to Sleeping With Sirens?" The class shakes their heads. "So, what right do any of you have to make fun of a girl for liking something you may actually find you're into!?!" I smile slightly "There'll be no more teasing. Today we're going to listen to Sleeping With Sirens, and I'll educate you all on us. With the help of Heather and her friend." He winks at me and I smile widely. The class sits in silence. "Any song requests?"
I stick up my hand in the air, Kellin nods at me and I smile widely "The Strays!" I say as confidently as I can.
Kellin smiles "Good choice!" He goes onto the computer and hooks it up to the white board projector, before looking up The Strays on youtube. As soon as the music starts playing I smile and start miming all the lyrics.

At the end of the song Kellin turns serious "What did you guys think?"
Leo raises his hand "Not as bad as I thought!" He smiles at me.
Several girls raise their hands "You guys are pretty cool!"
The I hear Theo mutter "Sounds like a girl...." And snickering.
I laugh loudly and all eyes land on me, I pretend to wipe away tears from my eyes in laughter "So, let me get this straight Theo, you just said he sounds like a girl, then you laughed? Dude, have you even heard your laugh!?! Listen, get back to me on that when your voice has broken! Or, y'know, whenever you hit puberty." Theo looks at me in outrage and slumps back in his seat in embarrassment.
Kellin smiles "Good comeback!"
I give a small salute "Thank you!"
"Does anyone in here have a musical skill they'd like to share?" Kellin asks innocently. My friends all lean forward in their seats and look at me, I blush a violent shade of pink and hide my face in my hair. "Heather, do you have a musical skill?"
I shake my head, Jazzy speaks up "She has an amazing singing voice!"
Ok. Remember what I said about being shy? Yeah. Only my best friends have heard me sing. I shake my head "Ellie plays the flute." I try and drive attention away from myself, Kellin notices and goes along with it.
"Do you really Ellie? Thats awesome! Now, does anyone have any questions?"
A girl raises her hand "What should we call you?"
Kellin is thoughtful for a moment "Huh...I guess you guys can call me Mr Quinn!"
Somebody else raises their hand "Why are you teaching instead of being with your band?"
Kellin smiles "I wanted to teach people about music, share my passion with them. The rest of the guys are coming down at some point this term to perform for the school. Oh, on another subject, I arranged for a karaoke thing this lunchtime, you guys should come along and sing!" He says enthusiastically.
Theo mutters again "Nobody here is that gay..."
I speak up again "Theo, Im pretty sure your voice did not break since I last spoke to you."
Theo looks embarrassed, Kellin (or Mr Quinn) turns serious "Also, for using homophobic language you get a detention."
Theo gasps "You cant do that!"
Kellin laughs "Cant I? Im a teacher and you're my student, Im pretty sure I can!"
Theo slumps back in his seat and scowls at me, Im going to PAY for all of this later.
