"What?" I muttered softly, receiving glances from Max and Jake. I turned away from their eyes and walked towards the back windows.

"Hey, Lauren." His husky voice said to me. I bit the inside of  my lip as i played back my name in my head. His voice always got me when he said my name.

"What." I repeated.

His voice fell dead on the other line as i waited. "I thought maybe you would want to talk or something." He muttered to me. Really? After all of this time, now he thought we should talk?

"Huh, you think it's about time?" I said sarcastically as i heard him let out a sigh.

"Lauren seriously, will you come over so we can talk about it? You don't have to stay too long i really just think it's time that we clear everything up." He said as i hesitated. Every nerve in my hand screamed at me to throw my phone across the room and walk away, but i knew he was right. We couldn't just pretend like nothing was happening. We needed to talk about it sooner rather than later.

"Lauren come on." He muttered softly, sending a chill down the back of my spine.

I opened my mouth to say something but hesitated. "Fine." I finally muttered, "I'll be there in 10." I muttered, pulling the phone away from my ear and hanging up before he could mutter another word.

I tucked my phone into my back pocket and turned to face Max and Jake again. They both studied my expression as i crossed my arms. "What?" I asked.

"What was that about?"Jake asked, nodding his head towards my phone in my pocket. I pulled my shirt over to cover my pocket as if to protect it.

"Harry called." I stated, flipping my hair over my shoulder. Jake's eyes narrowed as Max smiled.

"How are you guys? Haven't heard you mentioned him in a bit!" Max said with a large grin. I looked down at my feet as i placed one on top of the other.

"Yeah it's good." I spoke softly. Jake's laugh filled the room as he rolled his eyes. Max and i both turned to look up at him. I shook my head desperately as he sighed.

"What?" Max asked, looking between Jake and I.

"Nothing at all. I have to go meet Harry, i'll see you guys later." I told them, turning to walk towards the door before Max or Jake could say anything else.

I quickly made my way towards the front as i called out for a cab. "Taxi!" I shouted before one quickly pulled next to me. I slid in and told htem my old address as i leaned against the seat.

I don't know why, but i was nervous. Every part of me knew that this was going to happen. I knew that there was going to be a point when Harry and i were going to talk about this. I didn't know what exactly we were going to talk about, us or this fake relationship, but i was nervous. The butterflies that were clouding my judgment wouldn't leave me alone. I knew there was no reason to be nervous, Harry hurt me and that was it. Nothing else mattered, i wasn't going to actually take him back. But still, i was nervous to be alone with him in our old house.

"Ma'am, we are here." The taxi drive spoke, snapping me out of my thought. I glanced towards the townhouse to my side before i handed the man the money.

"Thank you." I muttered before i climbed out.

I stared up at the townhouse as i heard the car behind me pull away. I could still run away if i wanted to. I could leave and just pretend that i never came.

I let out a moan as i shook my head and made my way up the steps. I needed to go, it was going to happen sooner or later.

I pounded my hand on the wooden door as i took a step back and waited. I heard the loud footsteps on the other side as the door swung open. Harry's green eyes poured into mine as he studied me for a moment.

"Hey." He muttered.

"Hi" I replied, watching him take a step back and opening the door further.

"Come in." He muttered. I stepped forward into the cool house as i looked around. It was exactly how it looked when i left. A bit messier, but still the same place. A part of me didn't expect it. I thought for some reason it would be a new place, a completely different place. I thought it would be changed, just like the person standing next to me.

"What?" He asked, following my gaze around the living room. I shook my head as i looked down at my feet.

"Nothing." I muttered softly. He nodded as he shoved his hands into his pocket.

"Soo.." I began, running a hand through my hair as he watched me closely.

"So, i thought you might want to talk." He said, shrugging his shoulders.

I let out a sarcastic laugh as i looked up at him. "You think maybe we should have talked before this whole proposition i got?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

He glanced down at his feet as he thought about that. "Yes, and i would have talked to you if i had known about it too. They told me about 5 minutes before you got there." He told me. I hadn't thought about it. I didn't even think about the fact that Harry was as in the dark about it as i was.

"Oh." I muttered, crossing my arms over my chest. He ran his large hand down the front of his black tee-shirt.

He nodded. "I would have Lauren, you know that."

I shook my head as i watched my feet. "Really? Do i know that? Because last time i checked i didn't get a phone call at all the week before this."

"Lauren please." His husky voice told me as i looked up again. His eyes studied my furious ones as i raised an eyebrow.

"Please what? Please forgive you for practically fucking a girl right there?" I asked, pointing towards the couch next to him.

He grimaced as he shook his head. "Please let me explain to you Lauren. I was upset, i was confused and hurt."

I quickly interrupted him. "You were hurt? YOU were hurt?" I asked as he rethought his statement.

"I don't know Lauren, i thought that you were cheating on me. For all i know you probably were." He said as i laughed again and tried to cut in. "No stop, i don't want to fight with you. I just want to make sure we are alright. We aren't together now so you can go sleep with your teacher, just tell me."

I bit the inside of my lip. "For the last time Harry, i'm not sleeping with my teacher." He shifted his tall posture as he thought about that.

He let out a sigh and looked around the room. "I-" He began before shaking his head. He cupped his chin in his hand as he thought about what to say.

"You didn't trust me, that's why we broke up." I told him.

He glanced down at his feet as my words sunk in. A part of me thought that he didn't actually think we broke up. "Broke up, right." He said softly.

A sharp pain echoed through my lonely chest as i took his expression. He looked sad and alone, just like i am.

"I'm sorry." He muttered.

I looked away, desperately forcing myself not to run into his arms and tell him that it was okay. "I'll see you next time that you guys need me." I muttered before turning and making my way back towards the door.

"There is a charity raffle for children tomorrow. I'll call you tomorrow about it." He said as i nodded, my eyes meeting his yet again. It grew silent for a moment as i turned towards the door again.

I paused with my hand on the door, hoping he would ask me to stay.

"I don't know what you see in the teacher, i guess grades are that important to you but that's okay now. I'm okay with that." He said as the fire inside instantly returned. I spun around as i prepared myself to burst a comment back.

"You're a dick Harry. I spat out as his eyes hardened again, just like the last time i was here.

He stood there silently as i shook my head and pulled the door open wide. "See you tomorrow." He shouted behind me before i slammed the door cutting him off.

Whatever small chance there was of possibly taking Harry back vanished. I was stupid to think that maybe he actually cared about me enough to notice i would never do something to hurt him.
