Freddy's coming for you

Glen quickly locked his window and he and Lily worked together to push his dresser up in front of his door. They tried to eliminate any physical possible way for Freddy to get into the room. Lily knew deep down that this wouldn't stop him, but they had no other choice. They were running on caffeine, and a tiny shred of hope.

They stood in the middle of Glen's room, and Lily took his hands in hers. Glen frowned as Lily was trying to find her voice. She blinked tears into her eyes and she said in a small voice, "I can't stay here for forever."

"Why not?" Glen asked. His hands slipped from Lily's, and his fingers trickled up to her elbows as he stepped closer to her.

"I'm already dead," she reminded him. "Death has already parted me from everything I know and love."

Glen didn't even think about that before. He sighed and said, "but there must be something we can do. I don't want to lose you."

"I guess there is one thing," spilled out of her mouth. But, she never would have even brought it up if she thought there was a remote possibility that Glen would take it seriously.

"What?" He asked curiously. He would do anything to stay with Lily. When she didn't answer, her silence was enough. He figured it out. His eyes grew wide and he said, "you mean... I have to die too?"

Lily's neck was too stiff for her to nod. She bit her trembling lips together and tears welled in her eyes. She sniffed and said, "I would never ever make you do anything like that. I love you too much to see you kill yourself."

Glen didn't hesitate to say, "I'll do it. All I want is to be with you for eternity. If I have to die, then I'll die."

Despite Glen's brave words, he was absolutely afraid of death. He was terrified, but he was willing to die to be with Lily forever. That's how much she meant to him. He would rather die than be without her.

"There's something else I need to tell you," she said.

"What is it?" He didn't think it could get any worse.

"If Freddy dies... I'll disappear too."

Glen's eyes got wide. He knew that Nancy was planning on killing Freddy if she had the opportunity, and if she succeeds then Lily will disappear. He couldn't let that happen, but he felt torn because he also didn't want Freddy to terrorize anyone else either. He finally said, "that's not good."

"I've been trying to figure out a way to detach from my father, but because we died on the same night and we have the same blood and it was the same thing that brought us back, I have to die with him," Lily said. She was sad that she was going to have to once again say goodbye to the life she loved, but she was willing to sacrifice herself for the greater good. Her time has already come and gone, and it was time for her to face the music.
