"Goodnight. Ta-ta, Jen."
Tatum ended the call. I pulled away the wireless cellular phone from my ear when I already heard the beeping sound, — the one you hear after someone ended the call or hang up on you — then stood up, and put the phone in its place, above the table. We were chatting through the phone about some random stuff for an hour.
I entered the bathroom in my room to do my night routine. I brushed my teeth, then washed my face. While drying my face with my face towel, I heard some noise outside my window. I ignored it and just continued drying my face. It might be just some bird or something. Then I heard it again, causing me to look at the window and furrow my eyebrows, then hang my face towel where it is hanged earlier.
I walked towards the window near my bed, curious. I opened my window then looked outside to see what's bugging me. I jumped and screamed and almost ran away from the figure that surprised me.
It was Billy. He was holding my forearm.
"It's just me!" He calmed me down.
"Jeez, you scared me! What are you doing here?" I said in a quiet voice.
"Sorry, don't hate me!" He apologized. "Wow, nice top." He said again, then climbed in my window. I was wearing a top that is exposing my cleavage, and a short.
"My parents are in the other room. They are already sleeping. You can't be here," I informed. I don't want him to get caught sneaking in my room and I don't want me to get caught sneaking him in my room. My parents are kinda strict.
"I'll just stay a sec."
I heard someone knocking in my door. I turned my head to look at the door, it was my mom. I heard her calling my name through the door for like a couple times.
"Jen?" She asked again, facing my door, and worried.
"Hide! Hide! Hide!" I said in a whisper tone, enough for Billy to hear.
I walked towards the door, then opened it, and faced my mom. "Hey."
"What's going on?" She asked in a worried tone.
"Uh, nothing."
"I heard screaming in your room."
"Oh, I saw a small spider and it surprised me. I already killed it," I lied. I didn't know what else to say. Thank God I didn't stutter or whatever.
She wandered her eyes around my room, checking for something wrong, then she returned her gaze at me. "Well, keep quiet, and go to sleep already," She held the doorknob and pulled it, causing the door to shut close. I was left standing in front of my door. I listened the my mom's footsteps closely 'til I can get back to Billy. The more far she got from my room, the more quieter her footsteps got. Until I can't hear her anymore.
I turned my head to look where Billy is. He hid very well. He was nowhere to be seen. Until suddenly my favorite teddy bear comes up from behind my bed.
"Close call," Billy imitated a toy talking.
"Nice hiding and surprising skills, Billy," I didn't say it sarcastically. It was more of a praise or a compliment, actually. "That is one of your psycho-ish behaviour. You're like some serial killer or a stalker, some shit like that."
"Thank you, babe," Billy gets up from where he hid, which is behind my bed.
"What are you doing here anyway?" I asked again.
"It occurred to me that I had never snuck through your bedroom window," He responded while walking around my room.
"You said you'd only stay for a second."
