NATASHA POV

"Romanoff!" A hard voice snapped.

"Yes, Fury?" I said, whipping around and putting the weights back on the shelf.

"My office. I have an assignment. Get showered first."

I rolled my eyes at him, then went to get showered. In fourteen minutes, I stood outside his door, waiting impatiently.

The door was opened and I strode in and slid into the chair directly opposite to him. He slid a file across my desk.

I opened it and examined the contents. Black market traders, selling dangerous bombs. Based in New York City.

Should be easy enough, and I flew out immedieatly. I found them hiding out in a boarded-up bodega.

I entered quietly through the vents. I saw a girl and boy, which was the first red flag. Two kids didn't just have bombs and hid out in a closed shop.

The second thing that was strange was their clothes. They could look normal to some people, but a purple tee shirt instantly screamed that they were dangerous to me.

I dropped from the vent, and in an instant, had a gun pressed to each of their heads.

"Reyna Avila Ramirez-Arellano. I do not want you here," I snarled.

"Hold up," the boy protested. "Who are you? And how do you know Reyna?"

I quickly removed the gun from Reyna's head, but kept it trained on the boy. He looked harmless enough, with sea green eyes and messy black hair. But I could feel his power.

"Nat, this is Percy Jackson. Son of Neptune."

"Neptune?" I snorted.

"He's powerful," she snapped, and I snapped back, "I know. Which is why you're a fool to come here. You'll attract monsters. I'm safe on my own, but with extra demigods hanging around, we're all dead."

"Who's your parent?" Percy said.

I rolled my eyes at him and stowed my gun. "My boss is going to be very suspicious if I come back empty handed, so I'll bring you in."

They didn't put up much of a fight as I handcuffed them and brought them back to HQ. I pretended to interrogate them.

"Why do you need me?" I asked in Latin.

"Do you want to full story or the short one?"

"I've got time."

"Essentially it all started when monsters wouldn't die. Then he arrives, carrying Juno on his back."

I looked at him in disbelief. "He comes, gets claimed, stands up against Mars, and goes on a quest to Alaska."

"He's alive?" I asked. "Alaska's a suicide mission."

But Reyna wasn't done.

"He retrieves the golden eagle, and says that he's not a son of Neptune. He's a son of Poseidon."

"What?" I asked hoarsley. "You mean to tell me that this kid is a Greek? And that Greeks exist in the first place?"

"Yup," Reyna said miserably. "But the Doors of Death have been opened, and Gaia will rise unless we do something."

"Sounds fun," I said cheerfully. "What does Octavian think about all this?"

"He is wary, and rightfully so. We don't know anything about these Greeks. Which is why I'm here. If anything goes wrong, we need one of the most powerful demigods there to protect the camp."
