"Pick up, Pick up."

She nervously twisted the sides of her lime knit sweater vest, walking back and forth inside the bathroom stall of the restaurant.

Finally hearing a voice on the other side of the phone. "Hello?" Draco picked up.

"I'm sorry Draco. He's just not my type of guy, he keeps blabbing about hunting. You know how much I hate hunting." She complained.

Draco laughed at what his friend had just said. "Hey, calm down. Just tell him that you forgot you had a paper to write."

"I can't do that." L cringed.

L was never the dating type. Always finding an excuse to not go out on dates. She has never been in a relationship. Draco on the other hand has always had a lady by his side. Love didn't please as well as sex. He had been in a couple relationships, never lasted.

He would always pick L over any other girl in his life, besides his mother. L and Draco met in first grade, since then they had never left each other's side. Everyone they knew would always ask if they were together because of their bond.

As hard as it is to believe their love was always platonic. They never saw each other as anything more than best friends.

"Fine, how about I pick you up? Make up an excuse that we're heading out of the city for a while." Draco rolled his eyes.

"You're so dramatic, Draco."

"Be there soon."

Before being able to say anything. Draco hung up.

"Idiot." L groaned.

Putting her phone back in her bag and washing her hands, she headed back to her table.

"Hurry up, Draco." She whispered.

"I'm sorry for making you wait." She smiled softly while pulling her chair back to sit down.

"No worries, we all have to go."

L laughed weirdly. She had never felt so embarrassed in her life. Bouncing her leg nervously while she waited for Draco to come.

"Yea, I hunted some deer's my last hunting trip. Want to see them?" He smiled proudly.

"No, thank you though, I'm sure that's amazing."

That wasn't amazing. At least not for L, she hated hunting for the same reason her date loved it.

Her phone finally rang. It was Draco, she sighed at the sight of relief, it felt like a weight had just been lifted off of her chest. "Do you mind?" She asked him.

"Go right ahead." Taylor nodded.

"Hello?" She answered. Swallowing her guilt, knowing she was lying to that poor guy.

"Hurry up, I'm outside."

"What do you mean we have to head out of the city?" L said worriedly. Faking her performance of course. This was the only time she was happy that her mother put her in acting classes when she was thirteen.

"Is everything okay?" Taylor asked.

L shook her head. "My father is at the hospital." She cleared her throat. Taylor's face went into shock.

"Go, go, don't worry about me. You need to be with your dad."

"Thank you, I am so sorry about the date."

L grabbed her bag from her lap and ran out of the restaurant. She could feel how red her face was. Feeling horrible about leaving Taylor all alone but she needed to get out, she couldn't handle conversation about hunting.
