You could smell the stench of blood and fire that soaked and scorched the earth. Taste the burning bodies. Over The Great Hills, many soldiers were slain, some trying to crawl for help with their decapitated limbs. Others slowly writhing in pain, waiting for death. The sound of metal clashed on top of the very steep hill.Remaining less than a dozen soldiers. Continued to battle the four skilled warriors. They circled them, believing it would cut them off, so they couldn't run away. Foolish really.
The Sorcerer, Alakai had no trouble defending himself against the king's guards. He swung the long metal sword against his enemies, managing to take off their helmets before quickly slashing their throats. A soldier ran forward trying to stab him from behind. Alakai hearing the loud footsteps quickly sidestepped and manoeuvred him into a headlock.
"Attack from behind? Have you no honour or skill? That's fucking pathetic, you worthless meat bag." He snarled, as lightening came to life from tips of his fingers. Torturing the soldier, before quickly snapping the his neck.
"Alakai, duck!"
Alakai didn't need to turn, he simply listen to his old friend Obi and dropped to his knees. The drunken priest, somehow still alive in this battle, cackled as he launched a long danger into the soldier's neck. The soldier dropped to his knees, blood gurgling and dripping from his mouth. Alakai smirked at Obi before continuing to fight.
A loud war-cry from his right and he saw his Demon friend, Aramina. She jumped down from an upper hill onto her victim. Plunging her two black daggers into the soldiers head, they slammed into the ground with a thud. Fresh blood soaked her hands as she tried to pull the daggers back out. Another soldier ran towards her with a spear. With her blades still embedded in the dead bodies head. Aramina snarled as she lifted her hand, fire bursting forward. The soldier screamed in pain as he dance with flames, slowly eating his armour and skin.
Behind the burning man, a towering figure- Tanda, the Rogue Elf stepped up. They held a dagger in each hand, watching the soldier thrash. Finally, they had enough and smashed the steel into the side of his head. His body going limp. Aramina chuckled at her friend, still straddling the dead guard. Tanda helped pull the daggers out, licking the blood clean.
"Stop it! You always do that." Aramina snatched her weapons away. Tanda chuckled disturbingly. Alakai witnessing the exchange started dry heaving behind them.
"You two are fucking disgusting."
"I tell them to stop." Aramina threw up her hands.
From a distance, a bellowing tiny soldier began running towards the three of them. They looked around confused and amused. Tanda licking their lips pulled out a small arrow and flung the weapon right into the soldier's eye. He shrieked in pain but Alakai sprinted forward. Jumping mid-air, he slammed his boot into the soldier's eye. Driving the arrow in further.
They all laughed in approval of each other's skills. The soldier still not dead, whimpered on the ground. Aramina stepped up to finish the final blow but ended up slipping on a muddy patch. Falling backwards hitting her head on the ground. Alakai and Tanda burst into a fit of laughter.
"Shut up, I slipped assholes," Aramina growled at them.
Alakai walked forward but he too walked into a slippery patch. And decided to not finish the final blow.
"Oh, what was that? Sounds like a little bitch afraid of mud." Aramina joked, watching Alakai.
"You literally fell and hit your head, you have no leg to stand on right now," Alakai remarked. The demon continues to chuckle. Tanda managed to walk through swiftly. Delivering their boot into the nearly dead soldiers head.
