--- Lucy's POV ---
I watched as Natsu hid behind the bar, unnoticed by anyone. He was most likely starting another prank, and by now everyone was annoyed.
"Is he ever gonna stop?" I ask Gray who sat next to me, eating a pastry. "I mean it's refreshing... his enthusiasm... but it can get to be too much."
"Natsu is Natsu. And that's all he'll ever be." He sighed, not even bothering to look over at him.
"But he's been doing a lot of these things lately..." I mutter, resting my head in the palm of my hand. "Do you think something happened to him?"
"Did anything happen on that last job you took together?" Wendy asked from in front of the two of us. "He seemed to be different right then."
I thought for a moment, flashing back to the past:
"That wasn't hard at all." I said happily as I held an envelope full of our reward.
"It was too easy." Natsu pouted, "I wanted more danger. Not... killing stupid mice."
Happy giggled and flew above us, "maybe the next job."
As the trio entered back in towards the local town, Natsu's stomach growled. "Agh..." he groaned , holding his stomach, "I'm starving."
"There's a bunch of different kinds of restaurants here..." I said, looking around.
"Then I'll sniff out the best one." he grinned triumphantly, leading Happy and I in different directions. "Here!" He said happily as we reached the so called best restaurant.
I was happy that we were done walking but the place seemed odd. It was dark and scary in a way, and to add, it was in the middle of an alleyway.
"Natsu..." I say slowly, rubbing my arms, "This doesn't look pleasant."
"Tch." he waved it off and started walking towards the door. Happy and I didn't eat anything as we watched him gobble everything up... And the next morning, he was different.
I looked back at Natsu as he put soap in wakaba's pipe. The man blew bubbles instead of smoke, causing Natsu to laugh nonstop.
"Maybe he needs sleep?" I offered but Gray and Wendy just shrugged.
"You'll have to knock him out first." The ice mage chuckles and looks over at Erza, who simply nods and cracks her knuckles, walking over to the pink haired idiot.
Gray stands up and motions for Juvia, who sat at the bar, to follow him. "Im gonna go on a job. Good Luck."
"Thanks." I sighed and walked over to a now passed out Natsu. I asked Happy to help me carry him and together, we walk to his house.
Once we got inside, Happy sloppily dropped him onto his hammock.
"Should I wait here?" I look over at the exceed who shrugged.
"I'm not. I don't know what he's gonna do to me when he wakes up." Happy sighs and flies to the door. "See ya Lushee!"
"Bye..." I waved and the blue cat flew out the door towards the guild.
So I took the responsibility of watching over the dragon slayer. All the while I kept myself entertained by examining him... well... not all of him.
But nothing seemed odd about him. It was just weird ol' Natsu. With his hair still pink, Skin still tan, and his eyes still Onyx.
I got up from my seat and push his bangs out of his face. He hadn't woken up yet, and it made me wonder how hard Erza had hit him.
