Problems
After finishing my book, I was heading towards my bed. Suddenly, I got a unknown call. I wasn't sure to reply, as it was my personal space and time.
But, a gut feeling told me, I should pick this call. And I was right. It was my old friend, Steve.
I couldn't believe at first. Nostalgia hit me hard. All those good old days with my best friend, made me emotional.
But I sensed, Steve wasn't feeling the same. Rather, he was stressed. And even he told me, that he needs my help.
I was more than happy to meet my old friend. So I invited him to my new office.
When he arrived, he couldn't believe the kind of peace that my work place had. He felt like meditating.
After chatting casually, he told me why he needed my help.
Few months back, he lost his job. And was still jobless. Moreover, his daughter was suffering from cancer. And unfortunately, she lost her battle.
Both Steve and his wife, couldn't get well after that. They both left each other, in order to get answers to there own questions.
In short, life became miserable within no time.
Then he asked me some questions, that were hard for me to.
Why I am suffering? What are my sins? What should I do? And much more.
After listening carefully, We took a pause. And then, I explained my views.
Steve was innocent. In fact, he did everything perfect. But life has some different rules.
Life is totally unexplainable. You never know what's coming next.
For example, someone born into a poor family. What would you call it? A bad luck? Or injustice?
There is fact that we need to accept. " We cannot control a lot of things "
But we can choose to respond, rather than react. Life maybe unfair, but even we have some choices that can change our lives.
We all get unfair challenges, but it's what we do with it.
This was pretty harsh for Steve. But he was curious to go deep into his life. He wanted to understand more about his pain. So he requested me to carry on my lecture.
So I took him into my car, and we both began our journey. We didn't knew our destination, but we knew what we wanted.
