So it's the 1st of February today and it's very special to me for two reasons. 1. Harry is nineteen today (Happy Birthday Haz!) and 2. It has been exactly a year since I joined Wattpad.
And what a year it's been. I'm sure most of you have read You Have Got To Be Kidding Me..., Never Thought I'd See You Again and are waiting for the next update of Status: On Tour With 1D. I still cannot believe how successful they've been on here.I wrote this especially for all my fans and all the people who have taken time out of their day to read my stories. I cannot express how thankful I am to all of you and that is why I wrote this one-shot as my one year anniversary present to you all because you fully deserve it
The picture on the side is Kerri. Song is DNA
I hope you enjoy it :)

Kerri's POV
I curled my toes around the edge of the diving board, looking down at the crystal clear water. It shimmered and spun as people splashed around in the shallows. And they call that swimming. Huh! I'll show them what real swimming is.
I leaned down and lightly grasped the end, preparing myself for the dive. I took a few slow, deep breaths as my eyes closed, the sounds of the people around me dulling down to a low hum.
The clock sounded on the hour and I quickly leaned forward, placing my hands into streamline and diving into the cool water. I instantly started kicking before I lost momentum and I pushed my arms out in a powerful stroke so I could reach the surface.
I turned my head to the side and gulped in a breath before breaking into freestyle, cutting through the water with ease. I soon touched the end of the pool and stopped, standing up in the shallower water.
Removing my goggles, I peered at the clock, checking the time. 100 meters in 55 seconds. Could've done better. I managed 52 seconds only last week.
"That was some pretty snazzy swimming there." a voice said from above me and I looked up to find a guy standing at the edge of the pool, staring at me with a bright smile.
"Did you just use the word snazzy? Are you from the 1960's or something?" I asked, raising an eyebrow as I exited the pool and wrapped my towel around my dripping body.
"No, unfortunately not." He grinned, brown eyes twinkling. "I'm Josh, Josh Devine."
"Kerri Matthews," I replied, shaking his outstretched hand.
"So from what I just saw, you're a strong swimmer. Correct?" I nodded. "Have you ever taught anyone to swim before?"
"Only my little brother. Why?"
"Well my friend can't swim and I came down here today to find him a teacher. Would you be interested?"
I furrowed my eyebrows a little. "Why didn't you just ask one of the swimming coaches? I mean, they know what they're doing. Why ask me?" I questioned.
"Because," he sighed. "Swimming coaches want you to fill out forms and have strict guidelines and yada yada yada. I don't have time for all of that. I just need someone who can just teach him to swim, no questions asked." He explained. "Besides, I don't think he wants to be treated like a child; he is twenty after all."
I thought about it for a moment. "Okay." I agreed. "What day and time is he available?"
His face showed instant relief. "Thank you so much! You have no idea how glad I am you agreed!"
I chuckled at him, shaking my head a little. "No problem. I have an indoor pool at my place so I can teach him there. Wait, I'll write down my address for you."
