"The first game is Red Light, Green Light. You can move forward while 'it' shouts 'Green Light.' Stop when 'it' shouts 'Red Light.' However, if movement is detected afterward, you will be eliminated."

You looked around the dreamlike room you were currently standing in, wondering how long it took to set up. This was something you had definitely never seen before; it almost looked as if it were a set from a movie. As you were listening to the announcer explain the concept of the first game, you immediately felt a bit uneasy at how easy everything seemed to be. Were all of the games going to be kids' games? How was something as easy as winning six games going to be enough to earn all of the money that will accumulate in that piggy bank? Not to mention, you were also getting accommodations such as a bed to sleep in.

"Those who cross the finish line without getting eliminated within the five minutes will pass this round. Then, let the game begin."

Gulping, you prepared yourself to run once the five-minute timer started. You knew once the timer started, that it would go by fast. Of course, you had played this game before so you weren't very worried, but now money was on the line instead of just the satisfaction of winning a silly kids' game. The robot that resembled a little girl at the front of the room began to sing, spinning away from the players. You couldn't help but think it was a bit creepy, but hey, whatever will get you money. At the sound of 'it' saying green light, you ran forward, already nearing the front.

Red light.

The robot turned to face the crowd. You immediately stopped in your place, shaking a bit but finally finding a firm standpoint on the ground. Your eyes stayed fixated on the shoes of the person in front of you, not even daring to look up. He stumbled and fell, and your eyes immediately went wide, feeling sorry for him since this means he was the first to lose the game.

"Player 324, eliminated."

You expected a masked man to come out and escort him away, but instead, a whirring noise could be heard, and a gunshot sounded. Blood splattered onto your face and jumpsuit. The next thing you knew, the blonde kid was on the ground, and you winced as his lifeless eyes slowly slid shut. This must be a joke? Is he seriously dead? He doesn't look a day over 25... How did he get himself involved in this? You thought to yourself, keeping your head down and staying as still as possible.

Closing your eyes, your breath hitched in the back of your throat as you tried not to react while screams sounded all around you. Never had you seen a dead body, let alone felt the blood spray all over you. The robot at the front of the room turned back around, facing away from the crowd as if nothing ever happened. You began to feel sick once you remembered the game had to continue. That was someone's son, best friend, or significant other lying dead on the ground.

You noticed Player 250 hesitantly moved towards his friend, and your heart sank as the robot yelled 'red light' while 250 was still moving. The whirring noise sounded again, and the player took off running, desperate to escape his fate. Staying still on the ground, your eyes followed them for as long as possible, before the gun sounded, and the sound of a body thudding to the ground soon followed. A woman nearby screamed, and the gun sounded again. This time, you jumped, eyes springing open, but you told yourself to not dare move. All you could do was listen as people around you began reacting to what was happening and running for the exit. You noticed the robot's eyes were reacting immediately, moving all around the room, the sound of the gun ringing through your ears. You couldn't look behind you, but you didn't want to, already imagining the fallen bodies near the door, pools of blood everywhere. The announcer sounded off again once the room went eerily silent.

"Let me repeat. You can move forward while 'it' shouts 'Green Light.' Stop when 'it' shouts 'Red Light.' If your movement is detected afterward, you will be eliminated."
