Adopting You (OUAT behind the scenes fanfiction)

Chapter 4

•Kacey's POV•
"Places everyone!" Mrs. Jamie yelled as she walked over to the door. Today a lady was coming to adopt one of us. I didn't really care. It's not like she was going to pick me. I sighed and went to my room before the lady came in. My room was my "place" that I had to go to. Lottie soon followed.

"Want to play a game?" Lottie asked. "What kind of game?" I asked back. "Concentration!" Lottie exclaimed. I looked at her confused. "What's concentration?" I asked. Lottie gasped. "You don't know what concentration is?" She asked. I shook my head.

Lottie slapped her head and laughed, "You have a lot to learn." I laughed and Lottie started to explain. She placed my hands so that one was lower than the other. The lower one had my palm facing out. The higher one was turned around.

Lottie did it too but her hands were the opposite. Lottie brought her hands down and hit my hands. As soon as she hit my hands she clapped three times and then flipped both of her hands around. "So, basically what you do is put your hands the way I just showed you. Then, you bring your hand in which ever direction that hand is facing, hit the other person's hands, then you will flip your hand as long as I say something. After one or more words or I pause we clap our hands three times. Then, as we do that we say this thing. I will say a category and you will have to think of something from that category and say it out loud. You can not repeat anything you or I have said and if you hesitate you are out. Ok?" Lottie explained.

I nodded my head and we started to play. "Concentration," *clap clap clap* "64," *clap clap clap* "No hesitations" *clap clap clap* "Or repeats" Lottie started. "I go first," Lottie said. *clap clap clap* "You go last" *clap clap clap* "Category is" *clap clap clap* "Anything," Lottie said.

L- TV
*clap clap clap*
K- Orphanage
*clap clap clap*
L- Scooter
*clap clap clap*

I laughed with Lottie as we played our game.

•Jen's POV•
"Welcome Ms. Morrison. I'm Mrs. Harris but you can call me Jamie. Come on in and look around," a lady said to me as I walked into the orphanage.

"Come find me when you have made your decision," Jamie said. I thanked her and walked around with Ginny. "She didn't even notice me," Ginny pouted. "You know you act like you are the same age as these children," I laughed.

Ginny stuck out her tongue and started to laugh. I walked around to different rooms. There were little boys and girls. Some rooms were filled with boys playing with toys and some were filled with girls playing with dolls. I heard laughter and I walked to the room where it was coming from.

There were two girls on the ground. Both with brown hair. They both looked around six and were both playing concentration. "Haha! I won Lottie!" one of the little girls yelled. She got up and started dancing. "That's not fair Kacey! You just had beginners luck!" The other girl, Lottie, said. "I won! You didn't! I won! You didn't!" Kacey sang as she danced.

I laughed and both girls immediately stopped what they were doing. They looked over at me and I saw Kacey blush with embarrassment. Ginny finally caught up with me and looked at the girls too. Lottie's eyes grew big and she looked at both of our faces. She went from mine to Ginny's then back to mine.

"Your.. Your Emma Swan and Snow White!" Lottie yelled. She started jumping up and down and I laughed at her energy. "Why yes we are. Sorry for asking but our show is for people who are just a little bit older than you so how do you know about it?" Ginny asked.

Lottie laughed and said, "On Sunday nights Mrs. Jamie falls asleep right before your show comes on. All of us girls and boys will sneak into her room just to watch your show!" Ginny smiled at Lottie and nodded. I couldn't take my eyes off of Kacey. She was perfect and exactly what I wanted.

I walked into the room and up to Kacey. I knew her name but wanted to act polite. "Hi, I'm Jennifer but you can call me Jen," I said. Kacey looked at me and said, "I'm Kacey. It's nice to meet you Jen." Ginny then walked in and said, "I'm Ginnifer but you can call me Ginny." Kacey started laughing. "You guys have the same name!" She exclaimed. Ginny and I laughed. "I'm Lottie. It's nice to meet you Ginny and Jen," Lottie said.

"It's nice to meet you too!" Ginny told Lottie. I looked at Kacey and said, "I assume you have heard that I'm the person that is here to adopt someone. Right?" Kacey nodded her head and I continued, "Well, I have some exciting news to tell you Kacey! I'm going to adopt you! What do you say?" Kacey looked me dead in the eyes and said, "I'm sorry but no."
