"Captain, why do you make us clean as punishment?" Kenji wondered. From behind the executive desk, Captain Yuki leaned forward on his wooden chair, not bothering to look up from the stack of papers in front of him.
"You expect me to tell you?" Captain Yuki inquired. The tip of the feathered quill in Captain Yuki's hand danced on the sheets of paper.
"We answered your question," Ren's groaning pout is only a murmur to the people within earshot.
"Would you prefer that you train until you do not have the energy to breathe?" Captain Yuki's bitter watchful stare slides to the corner of his eye in Ren's direction. Small bumps appear on Ren's pale skin. From the corner of Captain Yuki's eyes, his polar brown eyes lowered to meet Ren's innocent glance. Cold sweat highlighted Ren's skin. Why did I have to be the one sitting closest? Despite wondering, Ren did not mind the answer in the end. Ren rests the back of her head on the cold stone.
"Good point," Kenji admitted, hearing his throat tighten by each word. Dread painted Kenji's features.
"Captain, have there been any missions? The emergency missions have recently been increasing, yet the higher-ups are not calling us in. " Itsuki queried. Itsuki picks up his gaze from the floorboards to Captain Yuki.
"The other squads are handling the emergency missions. The only reason they call the Advanced Squad in is to scout out the area or if something goes wrong." Captain Yuki explains himself, still not bothering to look up.
"Thinking about it, the higher-ups have been calling us in a lot ever since the emergency incidents have occurred. Isn't that a little suspicious?" Yuma's back leaned against the stacked stone. His legs crossed over one another as he folded his arms over his chest.
"The other squads have the most creative minds for coming up with the stupidest plans." Captain Yuki's industrious focus made his answer short and simple.
"Some of their ideas can be good ones, Captain!" Ren protested, leaning forward a little. Captain Yuki takes one of the papers from the top of the stack and slides it to the bottom. His pointy-silver pen glide on the paper.
"You say that when you have not heard some of their ideas that they came up with when in a tight situation." Captain Yuki states. Ren sighed as she could not deny what he said.
"Are their ideas that bad, Captain?" Itsuki asked. Captain Yuki set the top sheet of paper off to the side and scribbled on a new one.
"On one of the missions, a soldier from squad four thought that it would be a bright idea to restrain a Rebel in a ten-inch plastic net." Captain Yuki confesses with no expression on his face. All four of the soliders' jaws dropped with their eyes outspread.
"A ten-inch? Where did they get that idea! Rebels are about two meters tall!" Itsuki shouted.
"The incidents were probably large in number!" Kenji shouted as shock painted his face.
"Were they trying to blind it?" Yuma wondered to himself. Yuma, himself, could not hold back his surprised face.
"It is a stupid net! How could anyone blind a Rebel with it?" Itsuki proclaimed.
"They might have miscalculated. The squad knew that the net was too small to catch a Rebel. They could have tried to restrain part of the Rebel's body. That plan would have gotten them close to the weak points. They probably missed or realized that the net was too small to contain a small portion of its body. They most likely tried to go for the hands to avoid casualties." Ren interpreted her theory. Itsuki held his chin in his index finger and thumb.
