Hyunjin ][ I promise

I watch carefully as the male stands their, staring with the knife flipping in his hands. I can see it is a butterfly knife, and that he's very skilled with tricks. How does he do it with so much ease?

I push Felix behind me, standing my guard. If you touch him, I will kill you.

The male grunts a few words in a language I'm unsure of, then proceeds to hold the knife to his neck.

The dream... this is just like in the dream!

The male slits his throat, quickly falling to the ground as blood splattered everywhere. Felix and I stand there in shock, unable to move and unable to fathom the situation.

How do we make this looks like we haven't killed him? How do I prove us innocent?

"Fingerprints." I whisper underneath my breath. Felix seemed to have heard me.

"Hmm..?" Felix hums.

"As long as they check the fingerprints on the knife, we won't be framed." I say. Felix nods.

"But what do we do now...? This is kind of traumatizing to look at.." he says, shaking unnoticeably.

"I'll contact my boss. I'm sure he can do something."

"Alright!"

"It had Felix's fingerprints on the knife." Boss says.

"What....?" I stand there, distraught. My mind racing with thoughts and emotions.

He didn't touch the knife! I saw him! HE DIDN'T TOUCH THE FUCKING KNIFE!

I look over to see Felix terribly upset. He's on the verge of tears. I walk over and wrap myself around him. Trying to do the best I can to comfort him.

"I'll figure out who did this to you." I whisper into his ear. I can feel a slight nod.

"Please do." He responds, then hugs me tighter.

Suddenly Felix pulls away quickly with fear, anger and sadness growing in his eyes. I raise a brow, questioning to myself what the problem is.

"What got you so..?" I ask, stopping quickly.

"What..?" Felix snaps out of his gaze and looks at me. "Oh, nothing.. just thinking about how to take this."

I look over at boss, standing there tapping his foot. He doesn't look pleased. Why is he so angry? Is he as annoyed as I am?

"What's your problem?" I ask impatiently.

"What do you mean what's my problem? I hate to see a kid get framed for something he didn't do." Boss blurts.

Finally, someone on the same page as me. But why'd it have to be Felix? Why couldn't it have been me?

My thoughts get me anxious again, and I quickly grab a hold of Felix. He looks startled at first, but soon wraps his arms around me. I don't want him to be put in prison. I just need to figure out how to prove to them it wasn't Felix.

"Boss!" I say still hugging Felix. He hums in question. "Could I possible be the one to investigate?"

"Unfortunately you can't." He says with a frown. my posture droops.

"Shit." I whisper underneath my breath. Felix looks at me with care in his eyes. He pats my head.

"It'll be okay! I can handle myself in there." He explains with worry in his voice. He knows that it'll be very hard, and that's what I'm scared of. I slump further down into his arms.

Just as I finally show him how I feel, after years.. We can't even be together for a duration of our life if he were to be given a homicide or manslaughter charge. How do I stop this..?

I turn my head unnoticeably. I watch as boss types away at his phone, a smile on his face. I narrow my eyes, quickly swooping my head back around.

Why is he smiling, happy as Larry if he just told me he was angry? That's not right...

Felix and I both pull out of the hug and go to look at boss. He's standing their an acted frown on his face.

"I'll get straight into investigation. Don't worry Felix, I'll help you." He says. I roll my eyes and boss turns away. I quickly turn to look at Felix, he as well is still upset. I rub his arm, trying to show I care. He smiles in response.

"There's something weird about boss lately." I say. Felix looks at me with question. "I rang him the other day and he was having sex while still on the phone with me.." I follow up, nearly vomiting in my mouth.

Felix looks at me with a weird expression.

"And now.. just now he was smiling at his phone while texting someone after clearly stating that he was angry. Then suddenly when we came out of our hug, he was frowning again." It felt like the words were spitting themselves out.

"Hmm... he does feel awfully familiar, I just can't put my finger in it." Felix says. "But the only place I might've seen him before was..." Suddenly Felix gasps.

"What?!" I grab for the answer.

"He was the one who.. raped me." The words slowly slipped out of his mouth. My eyes shot open wider than an oval.

He was raped...? Oh my god.. Felix....

I throw my arms around him. Frowning into his shirt, he says something.

"Woah, what's with the sudden affection?" Felix asks with a laugh.

"I just.. I just can't deal with the fact that you had to go through such a thing." I mumble. I pull out of the hug, holding his shoulders. "Now are you sure it was him?"

"Pretty sure.."

"I'm gonna do something about this." I swivel on my heel, turning 180 degrees

"What, what do you mean 'gonna do something about this'? What can you do?" Felix asks with a worry in his voice.

"I'm gonna gather something to point to him committing a terrible and disgusting crime. This also might be tied to the suicide and planted evidence. Do you trust me on this?" I say as I start walking, Felix shortly following after me.

"Yes, I trust you." He says.

"Alright, I'll get you free of any possible charge. I promise." I say stopping. Felix bumps into the back of me.

"And if I break this promise, you are free to do whatever." I hold up my pinkie finger, signalling a pinkie promise. Felix looks at me with a partially disgusted look.

"A pinkie promise? Come on we're not-." I interrupt him.

"I take them seriously, so if you just could-." Felix wraps his pinkie around mine. I smile, quickly swivelling around. I start towards the door.

"Meet me at my place tomorrow morning, you better get some sleep!" I say waving at him like a kid.

"Wait but how-." Once again I interrupt him.

"I'll send the address!" I hear Felix laugh as I walk out the door.

If that fucking bastard of a boss touches you again, he's dead, and I mean it.

HIIIII!! Sorry it was shorter than the others, but this was what I had planned out for this chapter! Anyway- I hope you really liked it and I hope you continue to read from here on!
