Alyssa didn't have a short fuse. She never had. That being said, she was about at her wit's end with Max and Kite.

She loved kids. She was going to school to be a teacher, after all. But there was only so much even she could handle.

The youngest ranger and the young boy had decided it would be a good idea to play a prank on the two girls on the Wild Force team. Taylor had ended up with silly string in her hair, and Alyssa got pied in the face, both among other things she'd rather not mention which had caused Taylor to leave altogether.

All that to say that the two young women hadn't gotten a chance to talk about the shared vision they'd had.

Alyssa was cooking breakfast as she thought back to her dream from the night before.

There was an arm draped over her waist and she felt the rocking of the ship as she laid in the bed, her only cover being the rather poor excuse for a blanket covering their bodies. His muscular chest was against her back and she could smell the strong, sweet stench of rum.

She turned over and opened her eyes to see a dark hazel gaze staring back at her. There was no denying his attractiveness. He was more beautiful than the captain himself.

Tobias, her lover, was one of only three people who knew her secret, the others being the captain and his lover.

"Mary," he smiled at her. "I never seen a woman half as pretty as you. Half as tough as you. Half as interesting as you."

With a slight smirk, she decided to mess with him a little bit. "But you met Anney."

"Anne Bonny don't hold a bottle o' rum to you."

"Don't tell the captain that."

Alyssa sighed to herself. It was like the dream was someone else's memory. Mary's memory. But who was Mary?

Before she knew it, it was time to head to her history class. This chapter was on the Golden Age of Piracy, meaning pirates like Blackbeard and Captain Kidd.

What she wasn't expecting was something that could very well be an answer to her question.

"Can anyone tell me who this is?" the professor asked, gesturing to a line drawing projected onto the board.

"Anne Bonny and Mary Read," one of the girls raised her hand. "Pirates on Calico Jack's crew who dressed as men because it was considered unlucky to have a woman onboard a ship."

"Exactly!"

'Mary Read?' Alyssa asked herself. 'Could that be Mary? She mentioned someone by the name of Anney."

She didn't have time to dwell as her professor continued.

"It's said that Calico Jack, whose real name was John Rackam, not only stole ships in every port, but also found a lover in ever port as well. Until he met Anne Bonny, that is.

"Anne was born Anne Cormac, and was the illegitimate daughter of a wealthy lawyer and plantation owner who immigrated from Ireland to the Province of Carolina when she was about ten. It's said that she married against her father's wishes and she and her husband, J. Bonny, moves to Nassau, in the Bahamas. That, and his passion for being a pirate-catching sailor, led to Anne being alone most of the time. She, as anyone in her situation would, sought solace and friendship. She went to the bars on the island, and that's how she met Captain Calico Jack Rackam. Apparently, they fell in love quickly, as Calico Jack offered money her husband to divorce Anne. Mr. Bonny refused, and Anne left with Calico Jack anyway.

"Now, Anne couldn't just hop onboard and everything would be fine and dandy. It was considered bad luck to have a woman onboard a ship, and pirates were very superstitious. So, Anne was a man at sea.
