THE AFTERMATH. The Next Day. January 19th, 2024. Two days until Alonzo's 22nd birthday.
Third Person.
"Hey..."
Kali quickly glanced at her bedroom door before going back to organizing her room. There was nothing wrong with her room at all, but Demitrius knew that she was trying to find a healthy way to cope because they both knew she was seconds away from pulling a trigger.
"Hey!" Kali sighed happily, standing up and looking around in her room. "It's so quiet in the house, where is everyone?"
"Tony went to go see his aunt to let her know what happened," He looked away as he felt his heart become heavy. Alonzo's death really took a toll on everybody except for Kali at the moment who went from hyperventilating to smiles and giggles within hours.
Nobody knew what the hell happened to her in the span of 24 hours but they didn't care. As long as she wasn't hurting herself or putting herself in danger, they were content.
Except D, who didn't like the fact that they were brushing her clear mental break under the rug like it didn't matter.
"Chris, Sin, and Jason are at the trap following leads and handling business for you. August went over to Sylas and broke the news to them and Ayana." Demitrius sighed.
"I forgot her and Alonzo were close, wonder how she took it." She shrugged sadly.
"Penny is on her way back over here from your office and Leo slept with me and Sincere last night. He's still in there sleeping. Um, what are you doing to your room?" He frowned, finally taking in the drastic appearance of Kali's room.
