Third Person.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK.
THREE MONTHS LATER.

OCTOBER 20th, 2025.

"And you won't believe it, but I finally got the other side of my nose pierced." Kali laughed, her knees to her chest as she looked over at the picture of Chris that sat in a frame. "I'm literally a level negative assassin scared and I'm still scared of needles, can you believe that?" She scoffed.

Nayeli and Penny sipped out of their wine cups as they watched over Kali who had the biggest smile on her face.

It was only month three and all three of the girls were doing... good. Penny was hurting every day but to her, it was honestly getting better. She was finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

She missed Chris with everything in her body but she always saw him in her dreams and carried him in her heart. The days were finally getting easier, brighter, she felt okay again. Penny was always a heavy optimist and she used that to deal with her husband dying.

She lived happily through their memories and his legacy, one day at a time.

Kali on the other hand was suffering but it wasn't as bad as it was at the start. She'd still have her scary breakdowns, her moments of silence, even times when she'd disappear around the city for days at a time. But fortunately, she had more good days then bad, and this was a good day for all of them.

"It's something so cute about her talking to his picture." Penny smiled slightly.

"That shit is depressing." Nayeli bluntly said, watching Kali hold the picture to her chest now, crying softly.

"And I miss you more and more everyday." Kali whispered, her fingertips grazing the glass of the frame. "This was our favorite picture together," She laughed as tears rolled down her face. "95 days without you and I still can't believe that you're gone, I can't believe you..." She let out a deep breath and put her chin on her knees, closing her eyes and crying softly. "I need you, bear." Her voice cracked.

Penny and Nayeli couldn't hear what Kali was saying since the door was closed, but they both had a feeling that she was crying again.

"You know something..." Penny adjusted her royal purple silk robe and sat down on the couch.

"What?" Nayeli asked, looking in the mirror and fixing her black robe.

All of the girls had matching robes and of course with Kali being Kali, she had to be extra and get them the ones that trailed along the floor.

Nayeli had black, which was her favorite color, Penny had purple, and Kali had a blood red robe.

"When I first met you, I thought you were a real bitch." Penny chuckled.
