NIKO'S FUNERAL.
JULY 26th, 2026.Demitrius stood there and looked down at Niko's grave with a blank face, but everyone knew he was heartbroken on the inside. He looked up and saw Kali a few feet away from him, staring down at her brother, father, and mothers grave. She glanced over at Penny's and sighed. "And we're back here again." She mumbled.
Kali looked around and her eyes landed on Demitrius who was standing there with Sincere. D's eyes went to August who stood next to Kali, staring right back at him.
Kali wanted to comfort Demitrius, but she gave up on him a while ago, he told her to her face he didn't want anything to do with her.
She turned around and walked away, August stayed there for a few more seconds, just to look at Chris's grave one more time. "I'll take care of her... just like I promised." He whispered.
"God, I feel so fucking bad." Kali shook her head, looking over to see Alonzo, Tony, and Nayeli crying as well.
"Me too." August muttered, looking at Sincere comforting Demitrius. "I wanna be there for him but... you know how that goes."
"I say try." Kali blurted out. "Me and him may never talk again but it doesn't have to be like that for you guys... he saved your life, Aug."
"Yeah but he did that for you, Kali. If it wasn't for you, I probably wouldn't be here."
"I don't believe that." She whispered. "I don't think he'd let you go out like that." She shook her head, "But we'd truly never know, just try, Aug."
August looked back at Demitrius and then at his feet, "Yeah, I will. Just not right now... he has to grieve. We all do."
"I'm so tired of grieving..." Kali trailed off. "I just wanna go with them."
August's head snapped in her direction and he watched as the wind blew her hair around. He saw the peaceful look on Kali's face as she talked about dying and it broke his heart.
Kali did a complete 180° from when they first met and it made him want to cry. She hasn't been fully happy ever since he stepped to in her life and ever since her brothers had her get involved with G3.
"Just imagine not having a care in the world, you know?" Her soft voice spoke. "Imagine knowing the peace you could get if you went to sleep and never woke up again. I do everyday and... it's nice. Haunting, but nice."
"Stop talking, Kali." August muttered. He couldn't take the thought of having to life without the love of his life. He didn't want to think about it. His mind literally wouldn't let him.
"Me not saying it doesn't mean I won't think it, August." She shrugged. "I want to die and that's okay... never said it was happening anytime soon, I made a promise to Chris and Leo, I can't do that to you guys."
"I couldn't do that to you." She said softly, looking over at him. "Don't cry, August." She sighed, wiping his tears. "I'm still here."
"Yeah physically and who knows for how long?" He sniffed. "I'on like hearing you talk like that and I'on like the fact that you're never happy baby."
