{POINT N KILL}{Prologue}
The loud thumping through the walls infused with the sweet nectars the bar served made my hips sway to the loud music.
"THIS IS OUR MOMENT" DJ Spinall was a guest tonight, as soon as his fingers touch the turn pads everyone knew the night would be one to remember.
The deep bass took over the club as the brand new song came onto the speaker yet we all knew the words.
This was her club after all, an album celebration combined with a club opening.
A spot in New York City made for all Africans, a place made on the backs of smooth African music, food, and drinks.
The palm wine in my hand was getting to me so much so I didn't notice the hand on my waist.
Feeling the warmth escalate, "Excuse me, Ma" a deep voice penetrated my ear.
Without thinking I ignored the voice and kept dancing. Whoever it was didn't seem to mind,
"I do as I want, I do as I like
I no watch face, I no fear nobody, nobody" I sang whining my hips on the person behind me.Matching my vibe with his we killed the dance floor, I looked to my side and everyone was so into their own partners even my own sister who I had come along with.
"Emini paid, what can you offer?
Snakes in the grass, no trust am
Point and kill any impostor
Smooth travel, never stuck in customs" the cameraman I knew well continued his job capturing videos of people enjoying themselves. We repeated the lyrics into the camera, even though we were strangers we had this undeniable energy.
He spun me once the cameraman went onto the next couple, my eyes widened as he chuckled placing my left arm around his neck.
"Don't get scared now" he whispered in my ear.
~Hey everyone,
Bank Roll is still going but why not have something a little shorter in the meantime. I took down another one of my books due to the artist being a little too problematic; I also had insane writer's block.
Anywho this is a fresh and new idea, coming from a small story I wrote during quarantine. Hope you enjoy❤️🤎
