Jasmine POV
"Jasmine I think you need to visit the hospital, you look sick" My mother complained while staring at me like I stole meat
"Mom, can you stop looking at me like that? Second of it - I'm sick,
Third of it- everybody who stays in Nigeria looks sick" I replied to her as I ate my food
" Who told you that?", Examining my head, and my hair "look at how you look, did you even sleep last night?" She asked me, taking her seat to eat
"No, because I was seeing a movie"
She looked a little bit surprised "You were seeing a movie? you're going to the hospital... Do you even know the way to the hospital?"
I think here's my chance
"No ma, where is it even located?" I asked like a confused person
"It's not quite far from here, since you don't know the way I'll take you there," Mom said, making her way to the kitchen
Ehn, did I hear well?
"Oh, I think I remember now! it's not far from here" I said making my voice loud a little bit
Standing at the door "You sure you do?" She asked
"Yes, mom I do... The hospital that has those fine and beautiful nurses"
She laughed " they sure do, I'm off to work"
Sweet
"Okay mom, don't have a good day have a great day, bye!" I said remembering the words from the movie Free Guy
"Not so fast young lady, I need to see the doctor's report" she smirked, " and you have a great day, bye!" She walked out of the door
Such a mother
Let's go see some people, shall we?... Locking the door behind me, I turned to go when I saw a woman,
"Good morning ma" I greeted bowing my head and knees a little
"Good morning dear, How are you?"
"I'm fine ma" I replied her
"Well, I'm your new next-door neighbour and I just moved in with my son" she explained
Her accent doesn't sound Nigerian and I don't think Nigerians actually come to tell you they are your new neighbour. And why would they come to Nigeria?!
"Oh, welcome to the neighbourhood!" I raised my hands to the air, I got to give her the same energy.
"Oh thank you, dear"
"I'm Jasmine" I introduced myself
"Jasmine, such a sweet name... just call me, Mirabel"
"Okay, Aunty Mirabel"
"That's fine" She started looking around like she was searching for someone,
"Aunty, is there a problem?"
"No Jasmine, I just wonder where Willam is"
