About her:
She was Muggle-born, who ended up in the world of Harry Potter in the age of six to escape her abusive family. She was adopted by the Head of Gryffindor house; Minerva McGonagall and raised her as her own. Minerva treated her with love and care. The other Professors (including Snape) knew of her tragic past and usually tell her to come to one of them if something was wrong. Snape would usually give her a dreamless potion every night so she would never get tragic nightmares.
Considering, that she was a Muggle-born herself. No one in the castle knew of Y/n’s blood status (except all the Professors, but not Quirrell.) She had brought her Harry Potter books which she usually hid in her chest. She usually sleeps alone in her room. Not only her Harry Potter books but also her Manga books of Kimestu No Yaiba. When she first read the first chapter she completely fell in love with Giyu Tomioka. She always thought that despite his stoic facade, he was a good person. She was usually reading Kimetsu No Yaiba when she's alone. Like Giyu, she doesn't have much friends (except she is friends with the Golden trio by their first year).
She always had high grades in most of her classes. In which she was pretty popular at some point but rejected most when she was asked out. She only had one person in her mind and that was Giyu. The only one who knew of her crush on him was Hermione and the boys were oblivious to it.
