"Fine! If that's what you want, I'll take my stuff and leave" I yelled at my parents

"Good luck making it out in that world. People are snakes, you'll never survive. You need us" my mother taunted

"Stop treating me like I am five years old mother, I am an adult!"

"Then go, see how long until you come crawling back. But when we are both dead and gone, you'll feel really bad" my father chimed in

"I don't care, I'll never come crawling back. All you guys do is control me and keep me in this house. That's why Susan is gone!" I screamed

"Susan died of a heart attack you know that" my mother said softly

"No, it was suicide, I read her note. My twin sister is dead because of you two. And you've now lost another daughter. Once I get a place of my own I'll come back for Arthur" I pointed to my little brother's room. My parents stared at me in awe, as I picked up my bag and ran to my room. I packed up all the things I knew I'd really need. My books, my pencils, some clothes and shoes. I walked back out of my room and to the kitchen and grabbed some money from our cash box.

"Goodbye" I said as I opened the door

"You'll regret this. Don't come crawling back when you realize this world is not all you thought it would be" my mother words were the last things I heard as I walked into the strong spring breeze of England. I began walking and didn't even give it a second thought. The tears began streaming down my face as I walked faster and faster. Before I knew it I saw a sign for London. I hadn't even realized I was walking for so many hours. I saw the sun beginning to set, it wasn't until that moment I realized I had nowhere to sleep or stay safe from the elements. That's when the tears really began to come flowing. So I began to run, run as fast as I could muster, as fast as my legs could carry me. I ran past people, and kids and dogs. But I could not stop myself, my problems, my memories were all disappearing the faster I ran, the faster I moved my legs and pumped my arms, the faster the memories disappeared. The only heaviness I felt was my bag on my shoulders. My eyes grew blurry from the tears and sweat, so I did not see the man before I had bumped into him and knocked all his food onto the ground. I stopped, breathless.

"Oh my, I am so sorry. I just started running I did not even think about who I would run into" I spoke

"It's quite alright" the man smiled bending over to pick up his food

"Here let me help you" I offered

"If I may ask, what was it you were running from?" he questioned

"Many things" I exhaled

"Do tell"

"I ran away from home" I said, I don't know why but I spilled my guts to this stranger I just bumped into. All my problems were now in his power to use as he'd like to.

"I see, I had a similar experience a few years ago. But I got out of it and got a huge house now. I can take you there and you know teach you some tricks" he smirked

"Really?" I asked wide eyed

"Of course, but I see I am a stranger and I'm sure you've been taught better"

"No, I'm pretty desperate for hope" I admitted

"Let's go" he said grabbing my hand and pulling me in the opposite direction he was walking. It took me by surprise but the thought of a nice warm bed made me continue walking. He walked into a dark alleyway

"Uh"

"It's a short cut" he spoke rashly, I nodded. When it seemed we were deep enough in the alley way where no one on either entrance could see us he pushed me against the wall.

"What are you doing?" I asked trying to walk away, he slammed my arms into the brick wall and screamed at me

"SHUT UP AND I MIGHT LET YOU LIVE"  the tears came full force once again

"What are you going to do to me. Please don't kill me" I begged, he placed a hand over my mouth

"When you told me your pathetic little story, I saw how weak you were. How easy I could take advantage of you. Girls like you are so easy, so easy to please and trick" he laughed as he reached up my skirt and pulled down my underwear. I started squirming, and I felt a sting in my face.

"Stop squirming and your face won't be the only thing I hurt" he growled, the tears felt hot as they streamed down my face. I watched him begin to take off his pants. I screamed under his hand. He gripped my throat, and glared into my eyes.

"Keep quiet, this won't hurt. I mean it will, but not for me. He made his advances towards me and was about to insert it, I began to wince and turned my head away closing my eyes when there was a loud voice.

"GET YOUR HANDS OFF HER! NOW" we both turned to see a younger looking man, maybe about my age nothing like the other man who was maybe in his 40s. I could barely see this other man, he was nothing but a shadow in the darkness. He approached and you could see a revolver in his left hand.

"Oh shit buddy, I was just leaving" the man stumbled trying to put his pants back on, and ran off in the other direction. I quickly pulled up my underwear and made a dash for the other way. But the young man stopped me and put the gun away.

"Don't worry, it's not even loaded" he reassured me

"Who are you?" I asked

"My name is Victor Frankenstein, I watched you go with that man and could sense his intentions. I followed you and when I saw him push you into this alleyway, I knew my assumptions were correct" he said then looked at me

"Why should I trust you?"

"You have no reason to trust me, but I can assure you that prick is gone, and I have a proper place for you to rest if it's needed" he told me gently placing a hand on my back to guide me out of the darkness.
