A few days later Nessa's mom was very sick and she passed away as soon as Nessa got there and Nessa didn't even say goodbye.

They next day at school

So it's the next day of school and she even more depressed and Jaden doesn't even know yet. She walks to her locker. Jaden sees her and goes up to her.

Jaden: hey why didn't you text or call me back yesterday
Nessa: I don't know I'm sorry.
Jaden: Did I do something wrong
Nessa: are you really this mad because I didn't call you back
Jaden: Well then what was it. Do you hate me did I do something wrong.
Nessa: My mom died okay is that what you want to hear Jaden
Jaden: Ness. I-i didn't know
Nessa: well now you do (slams her locker and bumps into a girl)
Girl: I'm so sorry
Nessa: stay the fuck out of my way and if you don't take my word on it I will kill you (keeps walking)
Jaden: I'm so sorry about her (goes to Nessa) Nessa I'm sorry
Nessa: Well a sorry isn't going to bring her back isn't it
Jaden: I know and I'm sorry.
Nessa: (takes a breathe) I'm sorry I'm just acting stupid
Jaden: No your not your sab I get it. Hey come here
Nessa: Sure

They go outside to the football field and just start walking

Jaden: She loves you Nessa and she always will
Nessa: how do I know that
Jaden: What do you mean
Nessa: She's not here to say it so how am I ever going to believe that.
Jaden: she doesn't have to say it for you to know it. You just know because you still know she's still there for you and she always will.
Nessa: Jaden I'm just scared. I'm scared of everything. I'm a scary cat or what ever the fuck you want to call me
Jaden: What are you scared of
Nessa: I have anxiety and panic attacks everyday before I come to school. I'm scared to eat I'm scared to go out. I'm scared of my birthday
Jaden: Your birthday? Why
Nessa: Because you know how I'm on TikTok
Jaden: yeah
Nessa: I showed everything I got on there and people told me to kill myself and I'm selfish because not everybody has what I have
Jaden: then don't post on your birthday
Nessa: but if I don't people will just don't think I care about them. And I have to put on a perfect face for everyone and everything. I can't be myself around anybody
Jaden: you can be yourself around me
Nessa: Can I? I don't even know who myself is. I put everyone first and it over wilming and it hurts to know I don't even know who I am or what I love or like or what makes me happy anymore. That's why I can't be myself around anybody because I don't know who myself is
Jaden: I know I can't say anything to make you feel better or make you happy. But I do know everyone loves you. And you know who you are your just in your way to figure it out again. And I get it. I also have depression and bi polar and I also have to take pills to. But that doesn't mean you always have to let yourself down.
Nessa: I'm just scared, terrified to I don't know what to do
Jaden: hey I'm here my mom will let you stay we have a extra room you can sleep in and call it your own we will get through this together I promise
Nessa: (hugs Jaden) I love you Hossler
Jaden: (hugs back) I love you too chicky
Nessa: (kisses him)
Jaden: (kisses back)
Nessa: I should go I will see you later
Jaden: yeah I will see you

Sneaks home

Amy: Jaden your supposed to be at school
Jaden: Nessa's mom died
Amy: wait what? Is she okay?
Jaden: you know that extra room we have upstairs
Amy: Jaden
Jaden: please mom she's 16 she can't lay rent and she has no other family
Amy: Jaden are you sure
Jaden: yes mom
Amy: why do you care so much
Jaden: because mom I really like her I really like like her and I know what she's been through and going through
Amy: what do you mean
Jaden: She hurts herself mom and she has depression and it breaks my heart seeing someone else do the same thing I did please mom
Amy: fine she can stay
Jaden: yes thank you so much
Amy: and if you guys end up having sex close your door this time

Jaden goes back to school and after school he drives Nessa to go get her stuff at her house. He drives to his and Amy's house and they walk in
