The IMperfect Couple

Part 3

You both reached home. You both changed and Jimin was waiting for you to have a small talk with you. You came out braiding your hair and saw Jimin sitting on the couch. You remembered that it was your 'movie night' today.

"Umm... Jimin. Have you decided the movie yet?" you asked removing your braids. You knew Jimin liked your hair loose when you were intimate.

"Movie? Why?" he asked.

"Ummm..." you gulped. "You said, we can have a movie night today. So?..." you said trying to avoid his eye contact.

"Y/n. Come here" he said with a strict tone.

You went near him trying your best not to be nervous.

"Y/n. Look at me..." he said.

You tried looking at his eyes but couldn't. Your sight was roaming. He caught your chin making you look straight to your eyes. You swallowed the rock in your throat. Usually his words would not affect you that much, but the long night just made you amenable.

"Y/n. I don't want to call it a movie night anymore" he paused looking at your puzzled yet obvious face. "You are my wife. It has been more than a year now. And I'm finally confessing that I have feelings for you y/n. I've had it for a while now but failed to accept and admit it. But the moment I saw you so vulnerable there today, I realised how much I love you. I have been a fool all these days to not accept that. I know that you have feelings for me too. But if I'm wrong, I'm going to try my best to win your heart. And again, I'm sorry for today. I promise I'd never do that again"

"Jimin, Please stop apologizing. You've-"

"Y/n." he stopped you. "I love you" he completed making your mouth go dry. "I'll leave it here. You don't have to say anything now. I'll wait for your reply" he said placing a kiss at the corner of your lips. He smiled and walked away.

Though you knew the whole time that both of you were head over heels for each other, it was completely different when you heard him say that. You both were being too obvious that you liked each other. The night's incident paved way for both of you to start a new journey.

You sat in the same place thinking of what Jimin has told playing the words again and again. You also realised how it felt for you when Jimin came to comfort you during the incident. You realised then how much your heart longed for him and he would be the right person you would ever want to love. You realised that love isn't something that has to develop before marriage. It can also bloom after marriage and you both were perfect examples.

You rewinded your movie nights together. You knew that if he hadn't done the prank, the night would have been like any other movie night. And you decided it will not be called a movie night anymore. You decided that you should not have any hesitation to hide your nakedness from each other the next morning. You decided to bring your love outside the four walls of your bedroom.

You entered the bedroom to see that Jimin was sleeping. "Jimin" you called him slowly testing whether he was actually asleep.

He turned immediately with his shuffled hair looking like an angel awoken from little sleep. You knew he was handsome, but the way he talked, took care of you everything came rushing in and you weren't able to resist anymore. You realised that you were ignoring the fact that you actually loved him and it didn't make the situation any better.

Your eyes teared up in the moment and Jimin immediately switched on the lights hearing you sniff.

"Y/n? What is it? Is it because of what I told early now?"

"Yes" you told in middle of your sob.

"y/n please. Look. I'm sorry. You know I never forced anything. It's completely fine if you don't like me. I'm happy with whatever we have now-"

You didn't let him finish that you grabbed his cheeks with both of your hands and placed a fine kiss on his lips. 

He didn't seem to be surprised, but did not react immediately. You slowly brought on your hands down to the back of his neck and slowly brought it upwards to grab his hair. Your hands were working magic that Jimin found it mesmerizing and your lips made the scene better. He slowly melted and the rhythm normalized between both of you.

Both of you slowly pulled while Jimin had his eyes still closed with a smile plastered on his face. His hands were still balancing his half woken up posture on the bed which were aching to hold you. You bit your lower lip proud that you had such an effect on him. He slowly opened his eyes and licked his lips with the smile still growing bigger.

He opened his mouth to say something, but you interfered him. "Jimin. I love you. I love you with all my heart. I have always loved you and will always do. And I'm sorry for being such an idiot for ignoring this all this time. I promise I'll make it up to you"

"Well I think you have" he replied. Still smiling and mesmerized.

You gave a blank look at him. "I think you have made up for it" he said with a little chuckle. You smiled but still wanted him to say how he felt or what exactly he meant.

"You are one damn good kisser y/n" he said making it clear how much he had enjoyed the kiss. You once again felt proud but looked down feeling shy. Jimin gave his teasing smile again bending down to look into your eyes. You chuckled and push him but he caught hold of your hands.

"I think it's time for me to make up for the time we lost" he said and pulled you for another long kiss.

One small mistake could change everything. The change need not necessarily be a bad one. It might also open a whole new journey of your life. It is okay to make a mistake, because life doesn't come with instructions.
