"Honey, he's a boy, teenage boys suck, please don't worry about him" I told Kenzie

"But I really liked him" she sniffled

"And you will like many many people to come, you just have to wait until you find the right one" I consoled her

"Like you and moms?" She asked

"Yea, perfect example, remember how many bumps we have all had, and look at us now" I chuckled spooning more ice cream into my mouth

"I miss ash" she whispered

"We all do, hopefully she can come for the holidays" I shrugged

Both gray and ash are off at college now, so the house feels slightly more quiet all the time

I have three teenagers, two pre teens, and my baby boy. Still all living at home

"She ok?" A voice whispered as I turned to the door and saw Billie with a sympathetic smiled

"She will be" I said and gave her the same smile back

"Come on honey, you can get to pick what we do today?" I offered

"Can we go to the mall?" She perked up slightly

"Sure" I smiled warmly

"Ok, you get yourself ready and meet us downstairs in a few" I said as she nodded and I made my way out the room to give her some privacy

"How is she?" Gia asked from the couch while braiding Leigh's hair

"Getting there, how much longer will you be with her hair?" I asked, my baby wanted matching hair with me as i did it at the weekend with some long ass extensions

We had to compromise on the legnth and agreed on to her waist and not thighs like mine, but she looks adorable, Gia offered to do it as she's always helped with mine since I can remember

"A few minutes, I just need to re-gel it all" she smiled

"Looking good baby" I said and kissed leigh cheek

"Thanks mommy" she smiled up at me

"Es, dev. We are going to the mall!" I called up the stairs

Devs tics have gone less verbal over the last few years which is good, but they tend to be more motor now

"Whose car are we taking?" Billie asked coming in with all three car keys in her hand

Their relationship is the cutest, because of her selective mutism she barely speaks obviously and dev always talks for her

"Of course baby" I said and kissed his head as I slipped my shoes on

Honestly over the years our house has never got less chaotic even with them all growing up. But never boring to say the least
