After the last meet-up the two had, Remus decided that it would now be a good time to begin the more physical side of training. Remus brought Snape to the Forbidden Forest, and although it was cold, the two made their way to a secluded part of the forest, where Remus said that they would be training.

Remus had made Snape read loads of books on lycanthropy throughout the last week, many of them giving known, uncommon, and unreliable symptoms of lycanthropy, which Remus wanted Snape to get used to and experience for himself.

Many of the books listed heightened senses as a symptom, and Snape had had no problem with that, as it was involuntary. That was something that couldn't really be controlled. Lupin told him that he would just have to get used to it like he had.

Many other symptoms included faster metabolism and healing rate, elongated teeth, possible urges to eat raw meat, the sensing of the wolf when human, and agility. Not all of them were sure to be real, but Lupin wanted to be sure that many of the symptoms were there, as they were the tell-tale signs of a werewolf.

The elongated teeth were easy to spot, although Lupin's seemed to be more defined than Snape's, although that might have something to do with how long they've been werewolves. Snape had told Remus that he knew faster metabolism was a thing because he felt hungrier than he had in the past. The urge to eat raw meat was completely off the table, mostly because Remus had said he never felt it and thought it was complete rubbish anyway.

Remus wanted Snape to be able to sense his wolf, like he could, which was proving to be difficult because the wolf had refused to show any signs of being present. They had taken maybe 2 1/2 hours on this one thing, but couldn't make any progress. Remus had then told Snape to continue to work on it throughout the week, as they couldn't fit another practice in. The full moon would be here soon.

Lupin had told Snape about his friends being animagi, and that they helped him during full moons. Now, they would be helping Snape too, and Snape would have to keep this a secret. Snape was quite surprised to find out Remus's friends were animagi, mostly because turning into one was a lengthy and difficult process. Although, he was excited to find out Sirius was a dog animagus, because he secretly was a huge dog lover.

The group was all ready for the next full moon, which was only in the next two days. Now all they had to do was wait.
