My Life Before the Storm

Birds call out a warning
Afraid of what's to come
The squirrels run to and fro
Accepting what is done

The levitation of leaves
Makes this so alive
The branches dancing
Bees clutter in their hive

I stand here with arms stretched
Becoming one with the earth
This rare feeling makes me fly
Thinking about all that is birthed

But this happy feeling will come to pass
It's so sad, I should know
For the drops sadness comes to be
I will not hang my head though

Sorry if this makes no sense
I wait for the tears
To plop on my skin
Before I start crying too

Heyyyy
