To say I wasn't shocked would be a lie. My dad is here. Like in person!
Please don't be a hologram.
I jumped out of my seat into his arms, the rest of my family cooing at the sight. "Hey, buddy don't cry." He chuckled.
I didn't realize I was crying. I guess I missed my dad that much. "I-I thought you said you couldn't come?"
"I might've tinkered the truth a bit." He smirked, rubbing the back of his neck. I couldn't even be mad that he lied to me. The enjoyment of him being here overpowered it.
I looked up to see everyone wasn't as shocked as me instead they were standing there with goofy grins. "Did you guys know about this?!"
They laughed, finding my confusion amusing. "Yes, we knew Nicholas. Now, who wants cake?"
Me and my dad stood outside my apartment door waving goodbye to my friends and family. They were smiling cakes and leftover foods in their hands.
The party was over and it was a success. Best 13 birthday party ever. "So dad how long are you staying?"
He turned his attention to me."Well, the next flight back to Korea is next Monday."
THAT'S A WHOLE WEEK.
I had to stop the girly squeal that threaten to come out of my mouth. I was so freaking happy!
Once everyone was gone, Dad and I proceeded into the kitchen where mom was at. She was placing food in some storage containers. I guess I'll be having leftovers for dinner tomorrow.
"Nick go get ready for bed."
I groaned throwing my head back. "Ma it's the weekend! And I wanna stay and talk to dad!" She turned giving a cold glare that sent shivers down my spine.
"Nick you know the rules! It doesn't matter what day it is. Go to bed!"
My dad squeezed my shoulder a look of sympathy on his face. "Listen to your mom. I'll still be here when you wake up. Tomorrow's Sunday maybe we can go somewhere, just me and you."
My face lit up and I hugged my dad. "Okay! Good night."

Namjoon stood there smiling as he watched his life, his world, the only reason he's working as hard as he is, happily climb up the steps and around the corner.
Once he was gone he turned his attention towards the beautiful woman he loved and still does. "Why you gotta be so hard on him?"
Tasha sighed. "I'm not hard on him. He didn't need to be downstairs anyway while I talk to you."
"You wanna talk to me? About what?"
She crossed her arms and gave Namjoon a sudden glare. "Listen while you're here they'll be some rules. First, don't go in the kitchen without supervision, you're a walking disaster, and we both know it."
That was true.
"Secondly, you sleep on the couch-"
Namjoon groaned head going back. The facial expression was eerily similar to Nicks. Although the couch was cozy and comfortable it was small and Namjoon is a big man.
"Come on T anywhere but the couch." He pleaded. Tasha lifted an eyebrow. 'He has some damn nerve' she thought.
"You could stay in the bed with Nicholas, but it's a twin size."
The only bed left in the house was Tasha's bed and that was off limits. There's no way she's letting him sleep with her.
Here they were in the same bed again after 4 years of being divorced. Tasha was on the left-hand side and Namjoon was on the right.
They were both uncomfortably spaced out, a pillow placed in the middle for good measures.
"Good night."
"Night."
When Namjoonn woke up the next morning it was about 8:00 ish in the morning. He yawned attempting to stretch when he felt a body laying on his chest.
Somehow throughout the night of tossing and turning Tasha managed to break the pillow barrier arms warp around Namjoon tightly as she snored.
He couldn't help but grin and lean in to smell her cocoa butter-scented hair. She looked cute when she was sleeping, Namjoon had to admit. He felt all warm and fuzzy inside. He couldn't help but think, "What happen to us, T?"
