EMILY'S POV

School just ended, i felt much relive giving that well..... i hate school, not like i hate school in general,i just hate socializing. I was never the type to socialize. I quickly packed my bag in an inhumane speed and tried running out of the class to my school gate. I schooled in Africa, Nigeria to be precise, i was currently in the class  called ss1 ( senior secondary class 1 ) i am 14 years old  , anyway tring to reach the gate as fast as possible. Before i could open the gates of my school, my friend Elizabeth stopped  me,  i groaned inwardly, pulling a fake smile on my face  before turning around to meet her gaze.

I kept my stare on her " Lizzy what do  you want, I'm really hungry and I've to get home and do lots of work " i smiled, hoping my words  didn't come off as rude. She just smiled at me , shaking her head " Mimi you forget your math textbook and we have an assignment on page 63 " she replied,  putting her hands on her waist. Urghhh i hate that nickname by the way , but i loved that she brought my textbook. I lived a little far from school so there was no way she could have brought my book home for me. I smiled and hugged her " Thanks lizzy , your the best and for heaven's sake stop calling me mimi " we both laughed, lizzy is the only true friend i had , we have been friends since i could remember, our parents were close friends. She waves me a goodbye and let's me be ,i hurried for the gate before someone else calls me.

I got home 30 minutes later and was exhausted , i saw my mom approaching me with a sweet smile on her face . I quickly ran and hugged her i missed her. I and my Mom are like best buddies, she so sweet ,she always cares and asks about me . My mom just got a hot cake out of the oven and it smelt lovely , i  just wanted to eat it but couldn't. I had to wait for it to get colder,  urghhh the agonyyy. After about 10 minutes mom said i could eat it , finally felt relieve.

Time passed by and before i knew it ,it was night and dad came home. Dad had a excited look on his face , i just can't wait to here what he has for us . We gave him dinner and he loved it ,  being that my mom cooks the best meals in nigeria didn't really give him a choice order than to like it . My dad tells us that he has a very lovely news for us , i knew it , we anticipated the news , my dad did the drumroll sound with his spoon, typical dad ,he waited a few seconds before saying  " we are going to New York next month " i was shocked , dumbfounded, flabbergasted, he said we will go there for a family vacation and his work ,he also said we'll stay for months , i felt so excited .....

" beep beep beep beep " urghhh the sound of my alarm clock wakes me up , i was glad to wake up, i was glad to snap out of the past that torments me in the form of a dream , i groaned feeling my back ache , i lived in a small apartment in New york  where it served as home to me .

I got out of bed , brushed my teeth , made breakfast  , which was just hot coffee, toasted bread and omelette. After having my breakfast , i had my shower and got dressed, today my objective was to look for a job ,i just quit my last job as a waiter it wasn't paying well and i needed money for my bills. Right now I'm oweing the landlady 6 months rent and she sent me a notice saying she has had enough of me  and she will kick me out , i guess being lovely went down the pig's ass when it came to money.

I grabbed my bag and took a cab to places around the city looking for a job. It  was exhausting all said either someone else has the job or I'm not qualified. It  was noon now and will soon get to evening i needed to find a job quick . i tossed my hair braided with attachment to the side, thinking really hard , then suddenly my phone ringed and it was tasha.

Tasha is my best friend , we were friends since we have been in the foster care. I answered " Hello love " she giggled through my phone.

"Hello ly " i rolled my eyes knowing fully well she aren't seeing me ,  " Stop calling me that " i mused out clearly annoyed,  like seriously why can't people just fucking call me Emily , it's my name for booty  sake , she just laughed at my frustration.

" How is your job haunt going " she asked. I sighed

" Tash it's going bad i need a job pronto " she hummed in the phone , seriously she just hummed.

" Ly, come and join me at the strip club. Before you say no , hear me out first, they pay us well and you don't have to fuck no manwhore dick if you want to. You just wear lingerie and show  what your mama gave ya. She said clearly trying to convince me .

I sighed actually considering her offer , I'm  in desperate need of money , and i don't want to stay with tash in her house if they eventually kick me out , i like being independent.

" Fine , i will do it" she giggled and did that girly clap thingy with her hands, the noise .

"I'll  tell boss ya coming tomorrow, for your interview and Ly dress sexy okay ? Love ya bye" i sighed " bye tash".

I went to a fast food restaurant and ordered burger and chips with cola, it felt so good. I quickly ate my food , hurrying to go home and shower , my body ached with all the times i walked about today. I finished my food , took my bags and headed for the door . Immediately i got out of the fast food , i got out  my phone checking my email for any job offer when  i bumped into a wall ,  i looked up to see  a handsome man , a very handsome man ,that looks  like a greek sex god , he had this scary Aurora to him with his grey eyes , and his sharp jaw that made me wonder if it would cut me if i touched it , he had jet black hair with pink lips and stubbles , he was atleast 6 foot 5 and i was short near this man well i am short near anyone i was 5 foot 1  yeesh . I looked up again to catch him staring at me then i realized that i have been checking him out for too long .

I quickly apologized " I'm sorry , i wasn't looking " he just grunted at first then i saw a faint smirk on his face and he walked off,  like he stepped on  zombie shiii or something. I pushed it at the back of my head booked a cab and went home.
