I stand by clay at our lockers, it's our first day back since our friend Hannah died. Me and clay took it hard, well we don't show it. I've been hiding my emotions before I can remember. Being in the foster system makes you do that. Some girls were standing my Hannah's locker talking out her. I signed in annoyance knowing they weren't even friends with her I don't even thing they talked to her once. The bell rings I look over at clay and realised he was talking to Justin so I walked to miss Bradley's class alone.

In today's lessons miss Bradley was talking about suicide I completely zoned out after pratters wanted to more on from the suicide subject. After a while i tapped clay on the shoulder as he zoned out like me. That's when I looked over to the hallway to see mr and mrs baker, I wave of sadness hits me I haven't seen them since Hannah passed, it was to hard .

Flashback- "hey mrs and mr baker how are you," I say "hey sweetie, I'm just fine are you here to see hannah," says Olivia "yeah,"

I was awake from my flashback when my brother clay gets up from his chair and leaves the classroom, I didn't Question it as he could have just asked to go to the bathroom.

Me and my brother were walking out of school when Courtney approached us blabbering on about how sad it was that Hannah died  and how it doesn't make sense. Me and clay looked at each other confused it was like she was pretending she was best friends with Hannah which I new very well wasn't true because Hannah always told me how horrible Courtney treated her although I didn't know exactly what happened. She then went ahead and kissed us both on the cheek which made us both pretty uncomfortable. Tony then approached us "hey clay ari you guys want a ride home" "yes please tony" we both said at the same time .tony looked at us and laughed finding it funny how we say things at the same time sometimes

We were at the theater, Hannah was showing us how everything works and gives us so tips including only putting butter on the top of popcorn if you see someone you like because they will have to come back out so you can talk to them. "I like you guys you seem fun." Hannah says smiling

We pulled up to our house we're to parcels we're on the door step one for clay and one for me i immediately went upstairs with my box leaving clay downstairs

As I went upstairs I unwrapped the box finding tapes. I grabbed my Walkman tony had gifted me for my birthday and put one of the taped in they were written on with nail polish that I recognized  each one with a number there was 13 tapes. I start to listen to the tape that's when a voice I thought I would hear again playing into my ears

" hey it's Hannah Hannah baker adjuster whatever device you're listening to this on , it's me live and  in stereo no return engagement no encore and this time absolutely no request get a snack , settle in because I'm about to tell you the story of my life more pacifically why my life ended and if you're listening to this tape you're the one of the reasons why I'm not saying which tale brings you into the story but they're not if you received this lovely tiny box your name will pop up I promise."
  I stop listening to the taoe freaked out and confused what have I ever done to Hannah she was my best friend
Just as I started to calm down I here the door shut. Must have been clay going out.

Later that night clay comes back with a cut on his head but immediately wants to go back out me and mum look at each other confused, before he try's to leave the room I give him his helmet telling him "we're it please I don't want you getting hurt" he gives me a cheesy smile and heads on his way.

"Love the helmet is adorable" says Hannah exited to see both of us. I giggle as Hannah continues speaking "aren't you afraid of helmet hair clay" which I say to that " it's always like that no matter what he does" clay gives me a 'why did you have to say that look' but I just smile at him. As we're walking into the theatre Hannah says she hosting a party which I immediately agree to not caring about clays response after all he never really liked party's.

I continue listening to the tapes but decide not to follow the map after knowing we're the first place was . It was to hard to go there so I just decided not to. I hoped Hannah would understand why I didn't want to go.

Kat and Hannah run up To me and clay looked just as surprised he was there as I was when he asked if I wanted to walk to the party with him (I said yes obviously , how rare is it for my brother the clay Jensen to want to go to a party). Kat asked us what we wanted to drink to which clay says sprite, all three of us laugh, "you'll have a beer" Kat says. " same for me please kat" I say. Kat gives me my beer when Tyler comes up to us and takes our picture. I said my goodbyes to the trio and walked off with Tyler wanting to discuss a few thing about the year book that I had offered to help him with.

I call clay while listening to the tape to make sure he was ok but there was no reply so I sent a text to tony asking if he was with clay, but tony replied with a no and tha5 he would go out and look for clay which I immediately thanked him for worried about my brothers safety.

As I was taking picture of the basket ball game with Tyler I saw Hannah in the stands along with my brother which was weird cause I thought Hannah and clay both disliked sports. I keep talking pictures of the game though
I was walking home with my brother when Hannah comes up to us asking for one of us to send her our French note clay offers to do it knowing he had better hand writing than me. Hannah proceeds to get on the bus that confused me because she never took the bus but once Justin got on it, Hannah later leaving the bus and hearing what she yelled to him I knew what she was trying to do... get with Justin foley.

I continue to listen to Justin tape.
As soon as I finished the tape I saw a text a text from tony telling me that clay was alright. Walked into clays room hoping he was asleep which he was. I whisper "goodnight clay, love you" I do this every-night since Jeff died. I walk back to my room and get into bed falling asleep almost instantly.

As I walk into my lesson I get sent a message along with what seemed like everyone in the class. As I looked at the message I realize that it was Hannah, I sighed looking at Hannah, I wasn't going to judge her cause this surely wasn't the full story. Hannah looked extremely uncomfortable and all I wanted to do was go and comfort her but miss Bradley walked in.

As I walked into the lunch hall I sat down next to tony as clay walked away
"Can can tell you anything right" I say
" yeah of course ari anything" tony reply's
At that moment I blabbered out everything about the tapes hoping that Hannah would understand why I told tony
"Ari calm down I know about the tapes Hannah gave them to me, and I'm sorry to tell you this but clay also has the other copy of tapes"
I looked at him in shock bout didn't question anything. Tony had always been a very trust worthy person so I'm not surprised that Hannah would give tony the tapes to look after.
Tony leave me alone at the table to think alone about me thoughts
