2: Camp Half-whaa?

My mom and I got on the bus because her car obviously made a good breakfast, for hydras at least. " Jack listen, you're not a normal kid." she sounded as if she would breakdown any second," You're a demigod."

Now I know it sounds crazy, but I just saw a hydra for crying out loud.

" Your father was a god of Olympus, he told me to take you to Camp Half-blood, but I couldn't be away from you." I just listened grimly," I should've listened, you have to go now."

"Where is it?"

"Long Island."

"How do we get there?"

" I can't go, mortals aren't allowed, but you can. Here take this." She handed me a bag, I looked inside to see what was in it.

There was a hunting knife, a thermos, some MREs , and an extra set of clothes. "Thanks mom," I gave her a hug," I'll miss you when I'm gone."

We stopped in Georgia and got off the bus. I immediately spotted a...Pegasus? Behind it was another, but white instead of black like the first one. On top set a girl with long brown hair and olive skin. She was beautiful...ah...I mean ehh she looked alright, about sixteen, but only about two inches taller than me, and she wore a Camp Half-blood T-shirt. I knew that was my ride. I told my mom goodbye and walked over," Hello," I said,"I'm Jack, my mom contacted your camp and told them that I needed to get there."

She smiled,"Hi, I'm Lestli, we got your mom's IM" she said,"Get on Hoss here and follow me."

Camp Half-blood seemed normal at first. They took me to meet the camp director, Chiron, first.

"Hello Jack," he said excitedly," I'm Chiron, and welcome to Camp. "

"Thanks, but can you help me understand this a little better?"

" The Olympian gods are still around, although, God capital-G is over all the Olymians are still very powerful beings."

"Okay, that helped."

"Would you follow me?"

"Sure." He led me to a room and showed me a presentation clip. When we went outside Lestli was waiting for us.

" Hey Chiron," she said casually, " I'm ready to give him the tour."

" Thank you, Lestli."

Lestli asked me if I had a weapon and I showed her my ring/sword," That's beast!"

"Thanks."

"Here are the cabins."

"Whoa," an assortment of thirteen cabins was in a U. "Which one is mine?"

"Well, your godly parent has to claim you before we know, but until then Cabin Eleven."

"Coo..." A white skeleton aura appeared around me and Lestli's face lit up with shock.

" Your a son of Hades." she said.

" Really?"

" Yes, that's cool."

" Thanks. "

"We need to tell Chiron."

"Let's go then "

I got put in Cabin Thirteen. I discovered I had a half-brother named Nick Di-angelo.

"What's up?" he asked

"Just gettin' settled in,"

"It's nice to have someone else around when Hazel's not here."

"Hazel?"

"She's m...our sister."

"Sweet, but question?"

"Shoot."

"Do they think we're vampires?"

Nico smirked, "Oh, the beds, apparently."

" Catch you later bro."

" Kay, see ya"

I went to the dining pavilion at dinner time, and Nico brought me a plate of briscuit and an empty cup,"Say the name of the drink you want, then it'll magically appear in the cup.

"Water," the cup filled up,"thanks Nico.

"Your welcome, but...um water? Out of all other drinks, you picked water?"

"Yeah, I'm a health freak."

"Kay, so how's camp so far?"

"I reckon its okay, just a little weird."

"Good, where you from?"

"Florida originally, but we just moved to Alaska last year."

"Why?"

"My mom was low on money, so we figured I could use my hunting and tracking skills. You know, people pay a good chunk of money for animal skin and meat up there."

"Cool...so you talked to anyone besides me yet?"

"Just Lestli..." everyone got up and walked towards the campfire."What are we doing?" I asked.

"Every night we burn half of our meal as an offering to our godly parent." he walked to the campfire and slid some meat of his plate,"To Hades,"I followed his example and then we walked back to the pavilion.

After dinner we sat by the fire, which changed colors depending on the crowd's mood.

At the moment it was a Cyan-tealish color. Chiron stood, his entire lower body of a horse's now,"Attention," he said,"capture flag will be tomorrow night."

"WHOOOOOP!!!" Yelled the crowd.

"And I would like to announce our new camper Jack Ash, Son of Hades."

The crowd shouted out stuff like,"Welcome," or,"Whoohoo!"

"Thank you," I bowed like I was someone special.

Once the yelling stopped the Apollo cabin lead sing alongs, then everyone went to bed.I had horrifying dream, but at the same time it felt good.

I was in a cave with two men much older than me. "Watch your bac..." the man was cut short. A black flash moved right past him, and he fell, blood spouting out of his neck rapidly.

"Run!" said the other man.

"NO!" I ordered,"STAND YOUR GROUND!"

"Aah," said a metallic scratchy voice,"I shall have the pleasure of killing the mighty Jack of Blades," a dark flash came toward me, but I sliced with my sword and it turned to dust.

"Aaaah!" a crowd lifted me in triumph and yelled,"JACK OF BLADES!"
