"Bye, Ione! We'll come back soon to continue planning, okay?" Ione nodded and waved back at zanens, wordlessly watching as they were escorted out of the palace by dimwärs.
After Ione agreed to stay, the zanens returned to the room and the goddess felt like there's a slight shift in the zanens' mood. The three were quick to kick the gods out, insisting that since Yoongi and Ione already made up, the girls should continue back to planning. The gods wanted to help, but Tiffany sternly pointed out that having them around would just be a distraction. Taeyeon assured them that they will call for the men if their help will ever be needed before slamming the door shut in their faces.
Ione remembered how the three weren't as talkative after that and would only reply to her in short sentences. She figured maybe it was because they were guilty of indirectly causing a fight between her and the god of fire so she just let them be.
"How's the preparation going, Ione?" The god of wisdom suddenly asked, breaking her train of thoughts. "It's going well, Lou Vhalir," she replied with a smile. But she soon became confused when she saw Namjoon frown.
Oh no. Why is he frowning? Was there something wrong with what she said-
"Namjoon."
...What?
"Please call me Namjoon, Ione."
Ione just stupidly stared at the pouting man in front of her, trying to process what he just said. Call him by his name? Call a god by his name? "B-But that would be disrespectful. I mean, I-I'm just a mere mortal." Namjoon's frown deepened. "Nonsense. What's disrespectful about a wife calling her husband by his name?" Ione could feel her cheeks heat up with Namjoon's statement. The god, only just realizing what he had said, grew red as well.
"Uh-I mean, not that you're my wife or anything-I mean, wait, you are my wife-I mean, no, not now exactly, but-" A hand on his shoulder stopped him from talking. He turned to see his eldest brother grinning at him, amusement evident in his eyes. "I never thought I'd see the day that my smartest brother here would be at a loss for words," he paused and looked at the flustered girl. "Thank you for showing me that, Ione."
Ione, unsure of what to say, replied with what first came to mind. "You're welcome?" Seokjin threw his head back in laughter. Yep. He was going to like this girl. Very much. Namjoon, cleared his throat, trying to swallow down his embarrassment. "Anyways, as I've said before, Ione. Please do call us by our names. Lou Vhalir is too formal." Seokjin nodded his head in agreement.
"Indeed. Loosen up a little, my dear. We don't want you to always be on your toes around us. You heard Namjoonie. We're going to be wed soon and we'd like you to be comfortable with us." Hearing this, she meekly nodded with a small smile on her lips. "Okay, Namjoon, Seokjin." The two men fought the shudder that ran down their spines. They never knew that their names would sound so good from her lips. Is this the effect of having one's destined around? If so, they want to revel in that feeling forever.
But then, Ione's stomach decided it was a good time to make a noise. A very loud noise.
The two men blinked and turned to each other before facing their bride who was slowly turning crimson yet again. A snicker escaped from Seokjin's lips before he has a chance to stop it. Not long after, Namjoon joined him. How can this woman be charming just by existing? The taller of the two walked towards Ione and placed his hand on her back, wordlessly guiding her back to the dining hall.

"Oh?"
Jimin wasn't expecting anyone to join him and his youngest brother at the hall. Usually, it would just be the two of them with him drinking his night coffee and the other eating his sixth meal of the day. Jungkook, who was busy eating his food, paused mid-bite when he saw Ione enter with his brothers. "H-Hi, Ione! Wanna join us?" He stammered while picking up the napkin to clean the sides of his mouth.
Jimin snorted at him. The man wasn't this flustered when the zanens tried to passive-aggressively flirt with him before. He didn't even bat an eyelash when Tiffany kissed him on the cheek as "thanks" when he helped her once. And yet, here he was, being a stammering mess when the girl did nothing but just enter the hall. It doesn't take a genius to see that his brother is helplessly whipped for Ione-
"Hi... Jungkook, Jimin," she looked back at the older two who just gave her an encouraging nod. She turned back to us and smiled as she sat down. "Yes, I would like to join you."
Well, will you look at that... It seems that he was too.
Namjoon snapped his fingers and within moments, a meal was placed in front of Ione. Oh, that's right. The poor girl didn't get to eat dinner because of the zanens. She was also probably too busy planning to grab a bite of the snacks they sent her.
Ione, on the other hand, felt her mouth water when she finally got a good look at the meal in front of her. She wasn't able to do so earlier because everything happened so fast that the next thing she knew, she was already planning the event with the zanens. She gulped as she caught a whiff of the delicious-looking chicken cutlet drizzled with sauce. This would be the first meal she'll have that's not the usual bread or rice with salt.
While she was busy ogling her meal, the gods were busy ogling her. They never knew that they'd be jealous of a chicken cutlet. Well, with the way Ione was staring at it, who wouldn't be? They watched with bated breath as she took a bite and mirrored her as she gulped. Her hand quickly covered her mouth and they almost did the same too. It was funny how jumpy they were around her.
Meanwhile, Ione's eyes were sparkling as she savored the flavors in her mouth. It was so good that she had to cover her mouth to stop herself from squealing like a pig. Apparently, good food does things to people. She quickly turned to Seokjin. "Um... May I know who cooked this?" The man, albeit confused, motioned for one of the dimwärs to call the chef responsible.
"Greetings, Lou Vhalir, Lou Vhayma," the chef said once she arrived. To say that she was surprised to be called by the goddess was an understatement. She wasn't really used to interacting with her masters before because it was usually Joongi, the head dimwär, who did most of that and be the one to relay the orders to her.
So when Ione looked at her grinning, she was even more surprised. "This is so good! The cutlet's so flavorful, even without the sauce. I taste a bit of lemon in there, too. And the sauce is just the perfect balance of sweetness and savory. Can you please teach me how you did it?"
This time, it was the gods' turn to be surprised. "You cook?" Jimin asked. Ione replied with a nod. "Yes. I've always loved cooking. I also helped cook during events or when there are guests coming over at my former master's place- Oh, by the way, what's your name? I'm Ione." She offered her hand to the woman who was just staring at her, dumbfounded. "I-I'm Chunghwa," she hesitantly shook the girl's hand.
"That's great! I would love to try your cooking, Ione." Jungkook exclaimed. A chorus of "Me too's" followed right away. Ione's eyes lit up. Nobody was this excited to try her cooking before. It feels nice.
"I would be honored to offer my skills and knowledge to help you, Lou Vhayma," Chunghwa bowed her head in respect, a small smile playing on her lips. Ione smiled at her.
"How about we cook breakfast tomorrow morning?"
