Alex Go

---------------

School had just started. It's the literal third day of school and I'm already fucking lost!

Okay, okay. Think, Alex. Think! Where did Ben say to go? I shoved my hand into my bag, rummaging for my phone. God damnit, where did it go? I just had it a second ago.

Fuck. I can't find my phone. I backtrack through my morning. I remember getting out of bed and grabbing my phone on the counter. It was dead so I put it on the charger and left it there.

I left my phone on the counter. I groan and put my hand in my hair. I can't go back now! I've gone too far and I don't know where I am! I look around. I guess I'll just go a random way and hope for the best. Maybe I can even find someone and ask them for directions.

I start walking and eventually I end up in a pretty empty part of town. Everything was closed down and there weren't any people. What is this place? Where is everyone?

I wander around for a while. Is this place really abandoned? I've heard rumors of a gang that usually hangs out in empty areas like this one. I feel a shiver run down my spine. What if I run into them?

I shake my head. No. Those are just rumors. There are no gangs in this city. The police have made sure of that. But still! It could still be possible!

"Hello?" I shout, hoping someone would answer me. "Is anyone there?" Shit.  Idiot. Of course no one's there. This place is completely fucked. There's trash everywhere and it's dark as hell. "Anyone?" I keep shouting for some reason. Maybe I thought that someone around or near would here me and call the police or something. Nope.

After walking and yelling for a while, I hear something. Footsteps. I freeze, trying to hear over my own footsteps, but the sound stopped. I start walking again, and there it was again. I stop and I can't hear it anymore. I stop, it stops.

Maybe it's me? I look down at my own feet and start walking again. No. The sound doesn't match my movements it's someone else. I tiptoe to listen to it better but not make any noise at the same time. It's coming from right behind me.

I freeze. It stops. I look over my shoulder and see  a slight silhouette of a person. My eyes widened. "Uh.." I turn around fully, and see a boy. He was a bit shorter than me, and he was very thin.

He had gray hair, pale skin, and big violet eyes that glared up at me. Fuck. He was kinda intimidating. "Hello?" I noticed that the boy was wearing a black crop top that revealed his stomach. I examined his clothes and saw he was wearing black tights and knee high boots with buckles around the ankle and chains wrapped around the calf. Damn. This guy's emo as hell.

The boy doesn't move. He clears his throat and I look up, making eye contact with him. He's wearing makeup. Eyeliner and black lipstick. I think he's wearing foundation too, but I'm afraid to look away from his eyes. As I was thinking this, a cold voice filled the air, ripping me away from my thoughts.

"What do you think you're doing here?"

My eyes widen as I open my mouth to answer. "Uh.. I was just- I mean-" Shit. This guy looks like he could attack me at any moment and here I am, stuttering and panicking in front of him. I take a deep breath.

"Well?" There it is again. His cold, bitter voice. I open my mouth to answer but hesitate for a moment, choosing my words carefully.

"Um- I was just walking and I.. got lost. Actually, do you think you can tell me where Eunjang High School is? That's where I attend and I need to find it. It's only the third day of school and I'm sure my friends are worried about me-"

"Shut up." Oh. I guess I talked a little too much. I mentally facepalm. Too much information! We've talked about this! "Ah, Im sorr-"

"Shut up!" Fuck, I've angered him. "Just- stop fucking talking! God, you're so fucking annoying!" His eyes showed his anger and frustration. He had the most irritated look on his face I have ever seen.

I tense and look down at the boy's edgy boots. I don't say anything, fearing I'd anger him further. "No, don't look away from me!" He grabs the color of my shirt and pulled me down to his level, making me look up at his face, which was twisted in anger.

"I said what. Do. You. Think. You're. Doing. Here?" I start to tremble in fear, and he smiles evilly. "What? You scared?" He shoved me back, and I fell on the floor. "I-i got lost! Just tell me how to get out of here and I'll be out of you're way! I promise!"

I watched as the boy smirked down at me, and four other figures appeared behind him. I could only see the outlines of their bodies, but I already felt intimidated. 3 of them were outlineing big muscular men, and the other one was thinner and it had an hourglass shaped body. I assumed that one was a girl

The one on the left walked up to me, crouched down, and grabbed my shirt, pulling me up towards his face. I squeezed my eyes shut, expecting him to hit me. "Aww, he's scared! Poor little guy. Haha!"

Confused, I open my eyes and look up at the man. "I... shouldn't be?" My voice wavered, terrified.

The gray haired one chuckled, and they guy holding my shirt changed his facial expression. His eyebrows raised, and he made a confused face at me. "Oh no, you definitely should be scared, I was just teasing you a little bit before I beat the shit out of you. Ha!"

He raised his fist, and I flinched as I closed my eyes, once again expecting a hit. But it never came. I opened my eyes, and I was shocked at what I saw.

The gray haired one was grabbing the big ones wrist, stopping him from hitting me. The one grabbing me raised one eyebrow, making a confused expression.

"Let him go."

"What? Oh come on, Gray! We haven't had someone to beat up in weeks! Look at him! Don't you just wanna bash his face in?" The 3 people in the back looked shocked, and I'm sure I did too. What is he doing? Why is he standing up for me?

"I said-" The pretty boy, Gray glared his nasty glare at the strong boy grasping my shirt as he finished his sentence. "Let. Him. Go." He let me go, and quickly got up and walked over to where the others were.

Gray looked at me, looked at his friends, and shooed them away with his hand. The girl gaped at him, and the boys rolled their eyes. It was obvious they were not happy with this, but they obeyed anyway.

After they were gone, Gray looked at me and held his hand it. I hesitantly took it, and he pulled me up.

I stared at him, shocked I figured I should probably thank him for getting me out of that situation, so I did. Well, I tried.

"Thank-"

"Stop."

"Oh.. okay. Sorry."

It was silent for a moment. After a while, he gave me directions. "Go left, then keep going until you see the vet, then turn right at the next opening. That should get you to Eunjang."

"Oh. I- Thank you so much!"

"It's... Fine."

He turned away and started walking the other direction. It wasn't until when he was gone when I finally realized the weight o this situation.

Wait..

What the fuck just happened?
