"One, two, three, four, five, six, seven..." The students of Class E repeated while swinging rubber knives in different directions.
"Ah, The sounds of a choreographed exercise regimen echoing across the fields' on a golden afternoon. So peaceful, So.. militant." A yellow creature spoke, watching the students while twirling a daisy in between his hand.. tentacles?..
"Make those knives seen. Treat every move like a legit kill strike!" A government agent, Karasuma, ordered the students.
The students just repeated the actions while the two educators began talking to each other. "You're in the way here pal, Phys Ed is my department now." Karasuma told the yellow octopus, not even making eye contact
"But, but I'm lonely.." The octopus complained. "Find something else to do then like, I don't know, there's a sandbox. Have a field day" The black haired man pointed behind him.
Next thing you know the yellow creature is at the sandbox, dejectedly making something out of sand while sobbing a little. "You don't have to be so insensitive about it.." It complained again.
"The kids liked it better when I was their gym coach anyhow..!" The students stopped their routine and one of them sighed heavily and said "Yea, not so much. No offense or anything it's just, when it comes to exercise you.."
"..set the bar kinda high" Another student, Sugino, finished the sentence of his classmate.
*Flashback*
"Alright~! Let's try a simple jumping side-to-side maneuver. Watch closely and I'll show you how it's done." The creature said before moving side-to-side in Mach 20, a speed that is humanly impossible to do.
"Are you kidding me?!" 3 students exclaimed together. "Once you got the rhythm, throw some cat's cradle into the mix" Octosensei said, seemingly unfazed by the bizarre looks of the students.
"Wow! He is seriously good!"
*End of Flashback*
"Like we could keep up with that" A blonde student said, recalling the events that happened before. "We're human beings y'know. I, for one think our coach should be too"
The octopus flinched then went back to moping while playing with rocks. "Right... back to work people" Their human coach said
"Can I ask an obvious question, sir? If there's an actual point to this training, should uh.. Should we be practicing in front of our target?" One of the students, Maehera asked.
"Whether killing or studying it's the same principle. Drill the basics and they'll serve you well" Karasuma said without missing a beat.
He then called out two students "Isogai, Maehera. Step up." Said students did as told and waited for more instructions from their P.E coach.
"I want you to try and tag me with those knives" The two students were surprised by the sudden request. "Wait, like as a team?" Isogai asked
"Do you think that's a good idea?" Maehera voiced. "The blades are harmless. They weren't designed to injure human beings" Karasuma told them then began loosening his tie
"Tell you what, if you managed to hit me, then you go home for the day" He negotiated then the two students glanced at each other then Isogai said "Uh.. well, okay"
They took a fighting stance "Here goes nothing.." Isogai mumbled then he charged right at his teacher.
