"Would you calm down, Ran?" Ran was pacing around Y/n's room, his footsteps erasing the tranquility of the room. "It's just a small bump in the head, there's nothing to worry about." Y/n reassured, she didn't know why she had to, they were ex-lover after all. But why was he so worried for an ex? Wasn't he too concerned?

He stops, his body now facing her. "Just a small bump? Y/n you were passed out by how hard you managed to hit your head! It's a miracle the bullet didn't pierce through your brain!" Ran was alarmed, if he wasn't there he wouldn't have saved her and if he never came back in the first place the bullet would have never targeted Y/n.

"Ran, I was passed out because when you acted immediately you pushed the chair and I hit my head on the floor. I'm thankful for you, Ran." This seems familiar.

Wait... Wasn't this situation similar to what happened ten years ago?

It was the first time he saved her, surrounded by wannabe kings of Roppongi

It was the first time he saved her, surrounded by wannabe kings of Roppongi. She was on her way to the Haitani home, a paper-bag of hot chicken wings to serve the Haitani Rindou. This was the third week of her being a servant to Rindou, it was not enjoyable that's for sure.

She was told by Rindou to take the alleyway for a shortcut so that she would arrive faster because he was too impatient, acting like a damn king who's waiting for his wine. Rindou quoted, "Take the shortcut, it's the alleyway if you take right, Lady Y/n.

Then she was surrounded by five men, all above her height with fake silver chain hanging in their neck. Trying too act way too hard by wearing weirdly patterned shirts underneath their uniforms. 'This is all that goddamn Haitani's fault.' She prayed for her death at that minute, 'I should never listen to bitches.'

"I'm not going to be able to finish my current book, damn shit. It was the spicy bit too." She was more worried about that more than her own life. "And right, I'm gonna die." Y/n was more to the positive thinking side when she thought she was gonna die, 'Atleast I'm gonna be free. No more strict rules of being an heiress, no more school projects and no more standards for me.'
