Chapter 4
Peters POV
I woke up and looked at the ceiling, a smile over taking my face with memories of last night flashing back into mind.
I could still feel her touch lingering on my skin and it made me grin to think of the effect that she has on me. ‘Dude what are you thinking. You don’t fall for girls! You have been with Charlie for a year and still don’t care about her!’ I brushed my thoughts aside and assured myself that I was not falling for Rose. Or anyone in that matter.
Hesitantly I got up out of the bed and looked in the mirror. ‘Yeah, still looking as good as always’ I let out to myself. Walking off pleased with myself I continued out of the bedroom and down the stairs into the kitchen when I was pleasantly greeted by Rose “aw you’re finally awake. I was just about to come up and get you” Rose let out with a smile as she pecked my lips. “Yeah well I was starting to get hungry and got sick of waiting for you to bring me breakfast in bed. So I came down here instead.” I let out winking at her. I couldn’t help but let the smirk over take my face when I looked at her. When she finally looked at me she suddenly broke into laughter. God her laugh is cute, she is just so cute. Wait what?
Her laugh took me off guard but it was just that contagious that it caused a big smile to rise across my face to then turn into laughter. “Well I was just about to bring breakfast up to you but you came storming down the stairs and ruined all my fun” she whispered in my ear and started walking in towards the lounge room. Not only is she cute, but she knows how to turn me on. Ha little trouble maker.
I followed behind her into the lounge room and sat down on the lounge with my bacon, eggs, pancakes and toast. God she is a good cook I thought. I began digging into my food when I felt a vibration in my pocket. Pulling my phone out to look at the caller ID I suddenly remembered I left charlotte at home all last night. “Shit”. I looked over to Rose to see her staring at me with a confused look on her face. I quickly gave her a kiss and told her I would explain what was going on later. As quick as possible I ran out to my car. Aw god, Rose is really going to hate me for this.
With my phone still ringing in my hands I began to run even quicker to get to my car. Once I got in I finally answered the phone. “hey baby, how are you feeling and you okay?” I tried to say carefully. After I quickly spoke I tried to even out my breathing so it didn’t sound so bad.
“Peter where are you? You have no idea how worried I have been about you. When you didn’t come home after work I thought you might have gone out with the boys again, but they texted me and asked me where you were and to hurry up and come out but when I told them I had no idea where you were they began to sound worried and then I began to panic and I didn’t know what to do so I kept trying to call you and it was engaged and didn’t work and I began to freak out and and..” I quickly cut her off and heard her trying to breathe again after the big paragraph she just let out.
“I’m fine. I just stayed at a motel last night to try and get my head around things. I’m fine don’t worry.” ‘Shit. I really hope she believes this. Please believe this. Please…’ “okay. As long as you are safe. But please come home.” She quietly let out sounding as if she was contemplating whether or not to believe me. “Yeah. I’m on my way home now beautiful.” “Okay. Well, I love you” “Yeah Bye.” I quickly hung up the phone realising I didn’t say I loved her back. Great now I’m going to have to try and explain that too.
* * *
30 minutes later i finally got home. looking at the clock it was no 12:30. I knew it was going to be hectic when I walked in the door, but i have to get it over and done with and at least try and keep my temper under control.
