Chase P.O.V
I didn't know why I agreed to help Aubury, when she asked me I thought how I had no other plans and just decided to help her. I have never done anything like this for a girl; a girl has never stayed in my room for only sleeping and I have never done a favour like this before. But as I looked at her now keeping calm as her family spoke to us, I couldn't help but admire her natural beauty. She wasn't like the other girls who wore a cake for a face; the only makeup that touched her soft skin was just a lick of mascara on her eyelashes. Her face was flawless, the way her blue eyes contrasted with her pale skin tone, the blush that rose on her checks whenever I spoke to her and even the barley visible trail of freckles that showered a section of her cheeks and the bridge of her nose. My eyes drifted passed her well-defined cheekbones and I looked at her perfectly pulp, naturally pink tinted lips. They looked soft like marshmallows and looked so kissable.
"Chase?" I heard my name as I snapped out of the trance she put me in.
"Sorry, yes?" I responded.
"I asked if you were hungry we are about to have lunch," Aubury asked me.
"Yeah I'm hungry, I woke up late so I missed breakfast," I replied with a thankful smile.
Aubury P.O.V
We all sat around the dining table, eating. Surprisingly everything was going better then expected, my family was generally impressed with Chase and were asking him a lot of questions, which was good because it kept the attention off me.
As I thought this my lovely, caring, delightful sister, decides to open her big, boatful mouth.
"So Chase what's a good looking, smart successful guy like you doing with my, well lacking sister, when you could be with someone a lot better for example myself?"
I froze in my seat, all conversation at the table stopped, the only noise was from the clacking sound of my knife and fork when i dropped it against my plate in shock. I couldn't believe she has just said that, I ew she was bad and I new she was capable of saying rude things but I would have never thought she would stoop this low.
The best part is under all the stupidity of my sister, her saying this just shows how much of a wonderful relationship she has with her partner. Clearly she still flirts and plays around with boys even though she is ENGAGED and is getting MARRIED soon. What can I say relationship goals or what?
Leaning back against my seat I took in a deep breath before heaving out a low tired sigh, I turn my head to look at Chase pure astonishment danced around his features before his eyes turned cold in anger. I was curious about what he was about to say.
"Actually Melody," Chase started, "Why wouldn't I want to be with Aubury? She is smart, gorgeous and there isn't anything 'lacking' about her in my eyes." Chase said in a calm tone, smirking.
"But I am just so much better then her; I am smarter, prettier and more successful then she will ever be," my sister fought back.
"But that's exactly it, she's not you and will never be you and I couldn't be happier for that. She is more amazing then you will ever be, she is a kind and thoughtful, characteristics that you are not. But most of all she wont purposely embarrass her family members just so she can show that she is better then everyone else. Aubury is one of the most amazing humans but you are a lower one, that is why I want to be with Aubury so much more then I would want to be with you," Chase responded exaggerating his point by looking at Melody directly in the eye throughout his speech.
