3RD POV:
Late at night, you and Tanjiro are walking home. You are fine and barely tired, but Tanjiro is struggling to walk.
You've offered many times to carry him but he refuses every time.
'I was so naive. I couldn't even have a talk with a demon. All they did was attack me and try to kill me right away.' Tanjiro sighs "Sorry, Nezuko. I never got to ask them... how to turn a demon back into a human." Tanjiro mumbles.
You look over at him sadly and put a hand on his shoulder, "Tanjiro, we'll turn Nezuko back into a human... don't worry." Tanjiro smiles slightly and nods.
You continue walking but soon Tanjiro collapses, 'Even my uniform is heavy. I wanna get home as soon as possible, but my whole body hurts.'. You deadpan at him and lift him on your back with ease, "Y/N! I'm fine! I can walk, I don't want to bother you!" Tanjiro squeaks, blushing.
"Nonsense, dumbass. I'll carry you, you can sleep and i'll wake you up when we're there" Tanjiro was about to argue but decides against it, knowing how stubborn you are. He sighs and places his head on your shoulder, still blushing and falls asleep.
TIMESKIP
You sigh a breath of relief and wake Tanjiro up, "We're here" you whisper. That wakes Tanjiro up pretty much all the way, you both head down the little hill "We made it... Nezuko... Mr. Urokodaki..." Tanjiro slightly yells.
"Ah!" Tanjiro stops when Urokodaki's cabin door gets kicked down, and a familiar young girl walks out. You both widen your eyes, "Hey! Nezuko! You... You're awake!" Tanjiro yells.
You both run over to her, but Tanjiro falls down again. You go to pick him up but Nezuko gets there first. Nezuko hugs him and Tanjiro cries, you stand on the side with a small smile. You don't want to interrupt their family moment.
Your smile droops a little, missing your own family, well, not your father. But your siblings and friends. You widen your eyes when you get pulled to the ground with Tanjiro and Nezuko, you see Nezuko staring at you. You smile and hug them both making Nezuko happy.
"Why... Why'd you fall asleep all of a sudden? Never waking up once! I was worried you were going to die, you know?!" Tanjiro whines, soon Urokodaki walks out of the cabin carrying some logs. Though when he sees you and Tanjiro, he drops them and walks towards you both. Dropping down on his knees and hugging you three.
"You both came back to us alive." Urokodaki says with tears of happiness spilling from his eyes.
TIMESKIP
"I see. You killed that morphed demon." Urokodaki says and you look over at Tanjiro. He looks at you "There was a big green morphed demon, He... k!lled Sabito and Makamo.." He says the last bit sadly. You nod sadly "I knew they were dead... they have no auras".
Urokodaki smiles slightly, "You seem to have done well, Y/N. There's no dirt on you at all" You nod and Tanjiro cheers up "Yeah! I still don't know how you didn't even get hurt!" Tanjiro exclaims with stars in his eyes.
You suppress your giggles, "Maybe I just didn't come across any strong ones" You reason.
"I'm truly impressed that you made it back." You both smile, Tanjiro's wider. "There are several kinds of demons. The demons who use a special spell called the "Blood Demon Art" possess supernatural abilities. You may have to fight those demons, as well, from now on. And battling them will be far more difficult than anything you've known until now." You both nod in understanding.
"Even so, Tanjirou ,Y/N, I'm sure you'll be fine.". He looks over at you "Also, I would refrain from using your quirk unless necessary as it would be a problem if word got out" you nod and trace your hand.
"Right. Um... I think that Nezuko's not like the other demons. Do you think it could be that Whatchamacallit Art?" Tanjiro says and you look at him weird. 'It's blood demon art Tanjiro....'.
"No, I don't think so. I wouldn't call that an example of the Blood Demon Art. I'm just guessing here, but it could be that Nezuko's recovering her strength by sleeping instead of consuming human flesh." You hmm and nod.
'I'll protect you, Nezuko, Y/N' Tanjiro thinks with determination.
