Just a few more steps. Exhausted from his travels. Syren a traveller just entering the capital of the kingdom of the Tundra the legendary Uthranx. A group of four guards stood outside the gate the biggest one was the one to brake the silence of the night. "You there you must pay the entry fee to pass through the gates of Uthranx." Syren sensed a scandal. After a faint smile he said "either you let me in or I yell for manix and tell them about your little scam. See how much you like the bars of your own dungeon." The four guards looked at each other not sure what to do. They couldn't tell if the young man was serious. A hooded cowl covered his face. But the brute of a man in front of Syren had some sense and heard the tone in the man's voice. Sound as if this wasn't his first shakedown. Then seeing the sword and shield strapped to the supply pony he realized the young man was a seasoned fighter. Then his three colleges were unsure what to do in this situation. Once again the guard said "fine but keep your mouth shut or I will call in a few favours". Then as the gates open Syren suddenly felt dwarfed by the huge reinforced gate in front of him. Once inside he stood there for several minutes thinking what now? He never expected to make it pass the guards let alone the looters, cut throats and assassins that patrol the outer rim of the stronghold. Then the hairs all over his body pricked up as he heard a sword being removed from its leather hold.
