⊱ ─ Restored Hearts ─ ⊰
Daisy walked up to the apartment door, knocking quickly before she adjusted her shirt. The door opened to reveal Charlie, his eyes widened seeing Daisy standing there. "Hi," Charlie said softly. "Hi," Daisy responded. "Uh, come in," Charlie stepped to the side letting Daisy into the apartment. She followed him into his room and made her way over to his bed as he closed the door before walking over and sitting near her. The two sat in silence, tension filled the room thick enough to cut with a knife.
Daisy sighed, "Charlie..." He looked up at her, their gazes locked. "I love you, Charlie Conway. No one else will ever be able to make my heart race the way you do. No one else will ever be able to make me smile just by walking into the room. No one else will ever make me feel better just hearing their voice like you do. I'm sorry if at any point I made you think otherwise..." Daisy took a breath to blink back the tears that were forming her eyes.
Charlie wanted to talk but he knew she wasn't done. "When Riley winked at me, I looked down in boredom. When I was talking to Benny, he was telling me about how much of a fan he was and it flustered me. I'm almost sixteen and famous, that... is still so strange to me. I... I never want to lose you, Charlie. I am so sorry if I made you think otherwise." Daisy closed her eyes as a tear rolled down her cheek. Charlie felt a pang in his heart seeing her cry but her words created butterflies in his stomach.
She hadn't looked away once, her words where her utmost truth and he trusted those words. He may be angry but he knew taking it out on her is unfair. He leaned forward and wiped the tear away before moving closer to her. He placed both of his hands on her face as she opened her eyes to look at him. Charlie absolutely loved Daisy's eyes, it was his favorite thing about her.
Her eyes were the hue of a new spring growth, bright and soft all at once. There were flecks of strength, of the kind of green that comes only as summer advances. And they were beautiful, even as she cried, the watery effect made them shine in a new light. They say green is the strongest color because it ignites a new season after the passing of wintry days, and in that, her eyes were born strong, the green hue reminding him of sunshine and floral blooms.
That was one thing that Charlie understood, her eyes. They spoke a million and one emotions at once, it was the one part of her that he was able to read even when even when her face was blank. She could never truly hide her feelings from him when he looked into her eyes, he knew she hadn't lied as she spoke honestly. Charlie leaned in and kissed her softly before pulling away and sighing.
"I let my anger out on you and it was unfair, you are the one thing in my life that never changes. You support me and my decisions and I should have never hurt you the way I did," Charlie spoke softly as his thumbs rubbed gentle circles on her cheeks. "I am so in love with you, Daisy Jacobs. And I would spend forever making up for the way I treated you. I can't promise I'd never do it again, but I do promise that I'd apologize and make up for it," Charlie assured in a soft yet stern tone.
Daisy smiled up at Charlie and sniffled slightly, "Sounds good to me, Conway. Also, that Captain spoy is yours only. I told Orion I didn't want it the moment I found out. You're our Captain─my Captain─no matter what he says." Charlie smiled, "I wouldn't mind you bossing me around actually." Daisy smirked, "Oh really?" Charlie nodded as he bit his lip. Daisy leaned forward and kissed Charlie, starting slow and soft before leaning more into the kiss.
Charlie fell back onto his bed, pulling Daisy onto him before they continued kissing. Daisy was straddling Charlie's torso as they kissed, his hands holding her waist. Daisy smiled into the kiss as Charlie flipped them over so he was hovering above her. They continued making out for a few more minutes before they pulled away and just laid in one another's arms, closing their eyes before slowly dozing off to sleep.

The J.V team were invited to dinner by the Varsity team, according to them it was "tradition", even Adam reassured them that it would be fun. Daisy wasn't able to make it to the dinner but when Charlie had shown up at her house afterwards, he had explained how they were set up and had to wash dishes, clean the bathrooms and do other chores to work off the money they owed. Daisy was pissed, even more so at Adam who had betrayed the team─his friends.
So, Charlie and Daisy came up with a plan to get back at the Varsity team. Russ and Charlie went to the case to get the fire ants from Dean Buckley's office while Connie, Guy and Dwayne kept watch for anyone. Daisy climbed up onto Fulton's shoulders to place the tubes in the cracks at the top of the door. Daisy and Fulton high-fived once she got down from his shoulders. Daisy made her way to Charlie and Russ with a smirk, she nodded to them and they turned the vacuum on to suck up the Brazilian fire ants.
The next thing they heard was yelling and crying from the dorm rooms, the doors flew open and the Varsity team ran out scratching their bodies. Riley turned to the small group of Ducks with a scowl. Charlie stood next to Daisy in front of the Ducks with his arm around her waist, both of them smirking. "You think you're funny, huh? You think you're worth a damn? You're just white trash!" Riley said angrily.
Russ raised his brows, "Uh, who are you callin' white trash?" Riley went silent. "That's right. We'll take you anytime and anywhere," Charlie said as he shined his flashlight into Riley's face. "Unless you're scared," Daisy added. "Tomorrow, dawn!" Riley answered before rushing off to the showers. Daisy looked up at Charlie, "That was a perfect plan. However, we're definitely gonna piss off Orion." Charlie shrugged as the others walked away. Charlie leaned down and kissed Daisy, "It'll be fine." Daisy nodded before they walked out of the dorm building together.
