1. Your Father

For those who are new, I am currently re-writing this whole scenario so in some 'chapters' it will be a little confusing.

The midnight rain poured heavily on the ground. The weather didn't upset you. In fact, you were sound asleep, clutching your stuffed animal. The patter of raindrops against the window was quite relaxing. Most children were afraid of having to sleep with thunderstorms and rainfall at such intensity. But not you.

Although, this isn't what makes you different than all the other kids. You are home alone, but not for long. You must be wondering where your parents are. Well, your mother isn't in the picture for reasons I must not share. Your father, on the other hand...

Let's just say he isn't like your ordinary family dad.

He had just arrived from one of his many -in other words- 'trips'. He entered the silent, dark, home, drenched with rain. No noise. He expected you were still asleep, so you wouldn't have to see his red-stained weapon/hands. Quickly, but quietly, he went to his bedroom to change out of his soaked clothes and into his sleepwear.

'I need to check up on her,' he thought, 'to see if she's alright.' And he did just that. Your bedroom door was ajar and the way your bed was positioned is vertical on the right side of the wall. He didn't need to open the door. He sighed in relief and went off to sleep in his own bed.
