Today is a peaceful day, peaceful flight.
Everything going smoothly.

We about to decent in to our home base,
Captain were making the announcement to let crew know we will have to secure cabin.

While I was walk around the cabin for final check to make sure all passengers are secure, a gentleman called me.

Gentleman: Miss, I'm sorry but I have a question.
Me: Yes sir, how can I assist you?
Gentleman: Do you know how can I change my ticket?

He handed me his ticket and pointed at his seat number.

Me: Alright, to change your seat it will be better for ground staff to handle that. For now I'm afraid I can't change your seat sir.
Gentleman: No no! I don't want to change my seat. You know, I actually live in Sydney but my ticket is to Perth.

I'm absolutely confused at the moment.

Me: Erm, excuse me sir? Could you repeat?

He look at me desperately.

Gentleman: You see, I want to go to Sydney. But when I booked the ticket it was full, so I decided to booked to Perth so maybe someone change their mind and not go to Sydney anymore so I can go.

My head went blank, I holding my laugh and replied as calm as I can.

Me: I'm absolutely sorry sir, I can't help you at this moment but I would like to advise you to talk to our ground staff, they are the people that can find some solutions for you.
Gentleman: Can I have their name?
Me: I sincerely apologize but I do not know their name as well, and now we have to prepare for landing. I wish I could help more but that's all I can sir.
Gentleman: Thank you, I will ask them.
