Day 5: Blaster

Ink wasn't quite sure where he came from, but he didn't mind.

While visiting an AU that he and Error frequently fought in, he heard a chirp of some sort. It sounded like one of a bird, and Ink went to investigate. Lo and behold, Paint.

Paint was a relatively short blaster dragon. A foot or so taller than Ink with black bones and a rainbow spine. Ink noticed later that it's eyes mimicked his, changing as quickly with the exact colors and shapes. The head was more narrow than that of a typical blaster, but its smaller body made it more agile. The wings were large, allowing it to fly quickly.

Ink loved the little guy to no end.

He spent everyday conversing with it (he didn't know if it could understand him, but he assumed he did when the dragon kept responding with different chirps and nods), giving it food, training with him.

He even showed it off to Error, although Error rebooted before cursing angrily at him and running off to the anti-void. He did come back later though, and even grudgingly admitted that he was okay with the dragon around.

Ink didn't want it to sleep outside, so he made some space in his bedroom where the beast curled up every night on the rub, snoring happily.

Of course, it did the occasional magic spark (that would often send his plates crashing to the ground), and sometimes it threw tantrums, but that was to be expected.

And hey, at least Ink had company!
