New secrets

It was Monday morning and I was excited to go back to school. I ate a healthy breakfast and started to walk to school. I told James to meet me at Gregg's so I could buy a lunch. When I got to the shop James was waiting outside by all the flowers. "Hello!" James said smiling. Hi, I said back, I need to get lunch in Gregg's before we go to school, I said quickly. "Ok I'll come in with you," James said. We walked into the shop and I bought an orange, a yoghurt, a BLT sandwich, a chocolate bar and a Ribena juice box. It was a meal deal and only cost me £5, anyways we were late for school so we ran up the street to get there just before the bell went. 

I got looks but not nasty looks, I got questionable looks. I think it was because people didn't notice me since I changed so much. "Excuse me, could James Bennett go to the office." The secretary said on the intercom. I said bye to James and then went to my homeroom to put my books in my locker. As soon as I walked through the door Amber, her friends and Elliott looked at me, I just walked up to my locker and took my bag off but then "Oi you, are you new?" Amber shouted. No I'm actually not Amber, do you not recognise me? I said. "Is that Madison Kernel? Omg you have changed so much, no wonder you weren't in school. Your slim now but not as skinny as me, you'll have to work a bit harder Mads." Amber said giggling. "Amber stop bullying her," Elliott said sighing. 

"Madi psst- Madi," I heard this voice, it was James whispering through the window, I ran outside to talk to him. What is it James? I asked. "Mr Phelps, wants to talk to you." He said. Why did you whisper through the window? And why couldn't he get me himself? I said. "Well I didn't wanna walk through the door and-" Why? I interrupted. "No reason it doesn't matter and Mr Phelps fell down the stairs the other day so he is on crutches." James continued. Oh okay I'll go now, I said to James. "Bye!" he said. I walked to the principal office and knocked on the door. "Come in," I heard in the distance. "Hello Madison, how have you been?" Mr Phelps asked. I said that I was not too bad and I am happy to be back at school. "That's good miss Kernel, I am just glad you aren't very sick." he said. 

"You have probably heard about Mrs Cornwell, if I am right?" He said politely. Yes I have Sir, I replied. "I am so sorry for last term, I knew what she said to you but I did nothing about it and I should've." He said with a frown. Sir, it wasn't your fault and as I see it, the past is the past. "Ok Madison, but I am still sorry. You are dismissed." He said nicely. I walked back to class and did my work..

My Mind: James has been my best friend since year 8 and I think I have feelings for him..

Lunchtime: I met up with James at lunch, we sat on grass with a blanket underneath us. *mind: I think I should tell him how I feel about him* James.. Can I tell you something? "Ya sure what is it?" he asked. So um I think I like you and I think I have liked you for a while.. James sat up and said "Mads, I love you but there is just one thing.. I don't like girls, I like guys.. I'm gay.." he said very nervously. Oh, I'm sorry James, I am happy for you! I said with a sad face, but I was so happy how he opened up to me. "I'm sorry Mads, but there is this guy I like.." He said back to me. I asked who. "I like Elliott.." He said. I thought you said he looked cute earlier, you should go talk to him, I said to him. "But he's dating Amber," James. I don't think so James, I heard him say to Amber that he wasn't dating her, she just thought. "Ok then, I will." He said, that's the spirit James! As James went to go talk to Elliott, I started reading a new book I found in the library, it was called 'Little Women' by Louisa May Alcott.

James came back to the blanket and was holding Elliott's hand. Hi you two, I said in a flirty voice. "Hey," said Elliott. "So it's official Madi, we are together." James said to me. Aww lovebirds <3, I said to embarrass James. Elliott blushed and so did James. "James do you want to come to my house tonight?" Elliott said. "Sure! What would we do?" James said very excited. "Maybe watch a film or play video games?" Elliott said calmly. "We can do both." James said. One sec mum is ringing me. Hey mum, what's up? I said to her. "Hi sweetie, just to let you know that the doctor is booking you in for your surgery tomorrow evening," mum said cutely. Ok mum love you! I said. "What's up?" James asked. I am getting my surgery tomorrow! I said to James and Elliott. "That's great Madison," Elliott and James said together. I have to go home guys I'll see you when I recover. I gave them both a hug and left the school..
